Myrtle Estelle DeLana Barnett

MOGADORE, Ohio — Myrtle Estelle DeLana Barnett, 95, went home to be with the Lord on April 10, 2013.

She was born in her beloved McAlester, Okla., on Dec. 8, 1917. She was preceded in death by her sweetheart and husband of 50 years, Jim, son, Tommy, and son-in-law, Marty, and seven brothers.

She is survived by her five children, Mary Martin, James (Yoko), Frances (Don), Carolyn Jeanne (Dana) and Lorren, and two sisters, Mary Moses and Marva Davis; 23 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Her entire life was based on faith and giving. She never turned a deaf ear to anyone in need. Her passion was sewing and crocheting. Scores of adults and babies have slept under the quilts and blankets she created.

Our darling angel mother has touched us so deeply that she’ll never be forgotten. Until we meet again, we love you, mom.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, April 15, 2013, at Southeast Church of the Nazarene at 771 Dunbar Road, Tallmadge, Ohio, with Rev. Brenda Young officiating. Interment will be at Graceland Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church.

Arrangements by Donovan Funeral Home, 330-633-3350.
