Calvin W. Stotler
LANSING — Calvin Walker Stotler, 86, of Lansing, formerly of the Alum Creek area, passed away Friday, September 28, 2012, at Fayette Nursing and Rehab Center, Fayetteville.
Born on December 3, 1925, in Charleston, he was the son of the late Elex Calvin Stotler and Blanche Selby Stotler Tyler.
Mr. Stotler was a member of Ames Heights Bible Church. He was a coal miner and worked most of his 42 years at Cannelton Coal Company at Montgomery. He was an avid bluegrass music musician.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma Naomi Stotler; and son: Melvin E. Stotler.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his son, Kelly D. Stotler and his wife, Rebecca, of Victoria, Texas; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 3, 2012, at Dodd-Payne-Hess Funeral Home, Fayetteville, with Rev. Frank Castello officiating. Burial will follow in Huse Memorial Park, Fayetteville.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, October 2, 2012, at the funeral home.

Catherine J. Terry
Catherine J. Terry, 86, of Beckley went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 27, 2012.
Born December 3, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Lonnie and Hattie Scott Vaughn.
Catherine enjoyed traveling and gardening. She was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to her parents, Catherine is preceded in death by her husband, Teddy F. Terry, in 1987.
Those left to cherish her memories include her son, David Terry and wife Judith of Beckley; daughters, Nancy Gunnoe and husband Kenny of Beckley, Beverly Sizemore and husband Eric of Beckley; 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, October 1, 2012, at Blue Ridge Funeral Home, Beckley, with Chaplain Gary Lilly officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
Friends may gather with the family Monday from 1 to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
