Homer Admiril Chambers

PRINCETON — Homer Admiril Chambers, 76, formerly of Clear Fork, passed away on Friday, April 11, 2014, at his home.

He was born March 20, 1937, in Clear Fork, a son of the late Dewey Admiril and Stella Blankenship Chambers.

Homer was a member of the Oceana Freewill Baptist Church for many years until moving to Mercer County where he attended the Roger Street Community Church in Princeton.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by 12 brothers and sisters.

Survivors include a daughter, Belinda Chambers Putorek and husband Ronnie of Athens; a son, Homer Jerome Chambers of Princeton; two grandchildren, Summer Putorek and Sawyer Putorek; a sister Anna Sue Kitts of Anderson, S.C.; a brother Christopher Columbus Chambers and wife Francis of Cyclone; and a host of other loving family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 17, 2014, in the Chapel of Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, with Rev. Jackie Grimmett officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Chambers Cemetery, Clear Fork. Pallbearers will be family and friends.

Friends may gather with the family from 11 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 17, 2014, at Wallace Memorial Cemetery, Clintonville, with Kenneth Brackman officiating.

OCEANA — James Edward Cook, 46, died Tuesday, April 15, 2014, at Raleigh General Hospital, Beckley.
