Paul O’Dell Holtsclaw

FAYETTEVILLE — Paul O'Dell Holtsclaw, 74, of Fayetteville, died on Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at Heartland of Beckley in Beckley.

In accordance with his wishes, Mr. Holtsclaw was cremated. There will be no visitation or service.

John Lilly

The ashes of John Lofton Lilly will be interred in St. Sebastian Cemetery, corners of Ford Street and St. Francis Lane, on Friday, June 28th at 1 p.m. The Catholic Rite of Committal will be conducted by Fr. Pen of St. Francis de Sales Church. John died on Dec. 17th, 2012. Those wishing to attend the services are asked to meet at the cemetery by 12:30 p.m.

MOUNT HOPE — Rev. James Thomas Mundy Jr., 77, of Mount Hope, died on Tuesday, June 25, 2013, in Lynchburg, Va.

Funeral services will be on Sunday, June 30, 2013, at 2 p.m. at Sophia First Baptist Church, 222 First Street, Sophia, with Rev. David Sneed and Bob Creed officiating. Burial will be at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens, Oak Hill, with military graveside rites by Oak Hill VFW Post No. 3110.

Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill from 6 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, June 29, 2013, and at the Sophia First Baptist Church one hour prior to services on Sunday.

SMOOT — Elizabeth (Merze) O’Dell of Smoot, formerly of Meadow Bridge, passed away Tuesday, June 25, 2013.

Services will be at 2 p.m., Saturday, June 29, 2013, at Wallace & Wallace Chapel in Rainelle, with Pastor Bob Meadows officiating. Burial will follow at Wallace Memorial Cemetery at Clintonville.

Friends may gather with the family one hour prior to the service (1 to 2 p.m.) at the funeral home.
