On Thursday, May 16th, 2013, our most beloved Eugenia Joy Bailey Dishmon of Paradise Hill at Glen Fork passed away at the Raleigh General Hospital following a short illness. She was 55 years of age.

“Genie,” as she was affectionately called, was born Eugenia Joy Bailey on Feb. 25th, 1958. One of three children, her parents were the late Earl Eugene and Edna Jo Privett Bailey.

Eugenia was deeply loved by her family. She will be remembered for being a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister. Eugenia loved to visit her home in Florida, and spending time with her grandbabies. She enjoyed fishing and tending to her pets in her leisure time.

She leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband, James Bruce Dishmon; she was the precious mother of James Patrick Dishmon and Brandy Gene Morgan; the doting grandmother to Desiree Tory Jean Dishmon and Brooklyn Pamela Jade Morgan; the fond sister of Eddie Bailey and Frances Hale; a large extended family survives as well as many friends.

On Tuesday, May 21st, at 3 p.m. we will honor Eugenia with a “Service of Remembrance” at the Melton Mortuary Chapel. Pastor Erwin Gregory will be officiating. Eugenia will be laid to rest in the Sunset Memorial Park in Beckley.
