Agnes Frances Steele Mills
Agnes Frances Steele Mills, age 90, of Beckley, passed away on Wednesday, August 21, 2013, at the Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley.
Born on April 19, 1923, at McAlpin, she was the daughter of the late Robert Preston Richardson and Jessie Lang Richardson.
Mrs. Mills was a homemaker, and was a member of the Cranberry Baptist Church. She had made her home on Allen Avenue in Beckley since 1950.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Lester Roger Steele Jr. and her second husband William C. Mills, a son, Wendell Nolan Steele, a brother Robert Preston Richardson.
Surviving are children: Roger Steele and his wife Dianna of Edenton, N.C., Mason Steele and his wife Carla of Hope Mills, N.C., and Vicki Forinash and her husband Sam of Glade Springs, Daniels; three stepdaughters, Judy Beckett and her husband Dempsey of Crab Orchard, Gina Mimms and her husband David of Fayetteville, and Connie Chapman of Maple Fork; daughter-in-law, Anita Steele of Port Royal, Va.; nine grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; seven stepgrandchildren; four stepgreat-grandchildren and three stepgreat-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Cranberry Baptist Church at Cranberry, W.Va., on Sunday, August 25, 2013, at 3 p.m., with Pastor Roger Pauley officiating. Entombment will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens Mausoleum at Prosperity, W.Va.
Friends may visit with the family from 2 p.m. until service time on Sunday.
Pallbearers will be Preston and Jason Steele, Jason Taylor, Ryan and Aaron Forinash, and Scott Steele.

Margaret Tamera Pedri, 50, of Tracy’s Mountain, passed away on Thursday, August 22, 2013, in a Beckley hospital following a long illness.
Born July 15, 1963, at Mullens, she was the daughter of Rev. Gilbert C. “Junior” and Betty Vaughn Dodson.
Tammy was a 1981 graduate of Mullens High School and was a member of the Mullens Pentecostal Holiness Church.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Gilbert Dodson; and mother-in-law, Peggy Pedri.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Mark Pedri; two daughters, Leslie Pedri at home and Ashley Clark and her husband, Jeremy, of Penhook, VA; she was the loving grandmother of four grandchildren, Dylan Brehm, Ian Vanover, Lillee Vanover, and Autumn Clark; her father and mother, Rev. Gilbert C. “Junior” and Betty Dodson of Mullens; one brother, Robert C. “Bobby” Dodson of Mullens; and father-in-law, Adolph Pedri of Corinne.
Services will be noon Monday, August 26, 2013, at Tankersley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lewis Arnold officiating. Burial will follow in the Milam Cemetery, Barkers Ridge.
Friends may call one hour prior to services Monday at the funeral home.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
