William Andrew ‘Andy’ Ellison
RICHWOOD — William Andrew “Andy” Ellison, 54, of Richwood, died Saturday, Aug. 24, 2013.
At his request he will be cremated and a memorial service will be at a later date.
Simons-Coleman Funeral Home, Richwood, is in charge of arrangements.
Joyce Wood Kelley
Joyce W. Kelley, age 88, of the Greystone Villages, Beaver, WV, formerly of New Smyrna Beach, Florida, passed away on Thursday, August 22, 2013, at the Beckley Appalachian Regional Hospital.
Born on February 20, 1925, at St. Albans, Vermont, she was the daughter of the late Henry Wood and Valeria Morton Wood.
Mrs. Kelley was retired from the State of Florida in the Health Rehabilitative Services. She ended her career as the Regional Director for Aging Services. Mrs. Kelley graduated as valedictorian of her class at the Rutland High School in Rutland, Vermont. She was a graduate of Syracuse University as Phi Beta Kappa, where she was the editor of the university paper. Mrs. Kelley was a member of the Delta Gamma Sorority, and was a member of the St. Peter the Fisherman Episcopal Church in New Smyrna Beach, Florida.
After college she married the love of her life and war hero, Hazen Kelley, in Syracuse, New York, where they were blessed with a daughter and son.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hazen Kelley, and by her brother, Retired Col. Donald M. Wood.
She is survived by her daughter, Sue Campbell and her husband Basil of Sandstone, her son Hazen Kelley and his wife Jane of Needham, Mass. 5 grandchildren, Todd Morgan of Chattanooga, Tennessee, Clint Morgan of Waynesboro, Virginia, Andrea Walter of Tampa, Florida, Dana Martinez of Tampa, Florida, Stephen Bascio, Needham, Mass., 10 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
Her request was that a graveside service be held in Syracuse, New York, and to be Laid to Rest beside her husband Hazen Kelley. There will be no services or visitation.
