CINCINNATI, Ohio — Elizabeth Louise Logan, 92, of Cincinnati, Ohio, formerly of Beckley, died Oct. 21, 2012.
Funeral services will be noon Thursday, Nov. 1, at Ritchie & Johnson Funeral Parlor Chapel, 748 S. Fayette St., Beckley, with the Rev. Nelson Staples III officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral parlor.

OTSEGO — Frankie Iris Maynard, 59, of Otsego passed away Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2012.

Augustus ‘Gus’ McVey
MOUNT HOPE — Augustus “Gus” McVey, 91, of Mount Hope, passed away Monday, Oct. 29, 2012.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 2, at High Lawn Funeral Home Chapel, Oak Hill. The funeral service will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Restlawn Memory Garden, Ansted.

James William ‘Jimmy’ Moye
James William “Jimmy” Moye, age 72, of Shady Spring, WV, passed away on Sunday, October 28, 2012, at the Beckley Appalachian Regional Hospital in Beckley, WV.
Born on March 11, 1940, in Beckley, he was the son of the late Edward Moye and Bridgie Elliott Moye.
Mr. Moye was a retired coal miner, and a member of the UMWA. He was a member of the Fairview Freewill Baptist Church at Flat Top, and had served as a Sunday School Superintendent and Trustee of the church. Mr. Moye enjoyed antique cars. He was a U.S. Army Veteran.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers Robert G. Moye and Omar Thomas Moye, and a half brother, Bill Moye.
Those survivors left to cherish his memory include his wife of 50 years, Darlene Smith Moye, a brother Edward “Henry” Moye and his wife Carolyn of Grove City, Ohio, and nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
He also leaves behind many children from the church who referred to him as the “Candy Man.”
Funeral services will be conducted to Celebrate The Life Of Jimmy Moye on Saturday, November 3, 2012, at 1 p.m. at the Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home Shady Spring Chapel with Pastor Charles Tilley and Rev. Orville Setliff officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens at Prosperity. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until service time on Saturday. Pallbearers will be family members and friends. Military Graveside Rites will be conducted by the American Legion Post #32 Honor Guard.
