Johnny Franklin Workman

Johnny Franklin Workman of Rock Creek, WV, born Sept. 26,1955, went home to be with the Lord on October 24, 2012, after a long illness.

He was the son of the late Robert H. and Ethel Workman. He was also preceded in death by his father and mother-in-law, Edward and Violet Davis, infant sister, Linda Workman, two brothers-in-law: Timmy Davis and Charles Davis, special friend, Charles Scarbro, and two nephews.

Among those left to cherish his memory are the love of his life, his wife Judy Davis-Workman, and his beloved children: Loueditia Scott and companion, Michael Morton, James Davis, Misty Workman and companion Robert Underwood, Johnny Workman II and Courtney Workman; his grandchildren: Jeremiah, Kyndell, DeAnthony (DJ), Landen and Kendra. He is also survived by two brothers: Danny C. Workman and companion Ellen Mathis and Robert Alan and wife, Sherry Workman; four sisters: Judy and David Dickens, Peggy and Richard Scarbro, Rose and Jerry Watts and Helen and Steve Foster; brothers-in-law: Wayne and Connie Davis, Larry and Pam Davis, Ronald and Betty Davis, Harold and Kathy Davis, Curtis and Jan Davis and Claude (Bumper) Davis; sisters-in-law: Linda and Lonnie Vaughn, Evelyn and Lawrence McKnight, Marilyn and Curtis Bragg, Shirley and Jackie Skaggs, Elva and Woodrow Dillon, Ruby and Michael Lee and Jane Davis; special friends: Lundy Boggess, Bruce Young and Dickie and Dreama Daniels; a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon, October 28, 2012, at 1 o’clock in the Rock Creek Community Church, Rock Creek, WV, with Pastor Donnie Russell and singers Scott Shuster and Alvis Alderman. Interment will be in Scarbro Cemetery, Rock Creek, WV.

Pallbearers will be: Johnny Workman II, Robert Underwood, Michael Morton, Arthur Seabrook, Claude (Bumper) Davis, Richard Scarbro, Ricky Ray Scarbro, Matt Simms, Alvis Alderman, Jo Eddie Foster, Scott Coffman, Lundy Boggess, Jerry Watts, James Davis and Adam Buchanan.

Armstrong Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
