Richard ‘Rick’ Pennington

FAYETTEVILLE — Richard C. “Rick” Pennington, 67, of Fayetteville, passed away Monday, October 22, 2012, at Raleigh General Hospital, Beckley.

Born on August 19, 1945, at Oak Hill, he was the son of the late Ballard Richard Pennington and Helen M. Crist Pennington.

Rick was a Fayette County Sheriff Deputy for 14 years. He was a self-employed stable owner of A&J Stables.

It was his desire to be cremated and with no services.

Memorials in his memory may be made to the Hawks Nest Bass Club for Advanced Youth Fishing Tournament.

Eloise Madlyn Jones Sweeney

WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS — Eloise Madlyn Jones Sweeney, 91, died Oct. 26, 2012.

Arrangements are incomplete. The family has entrusted the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors in Hinton.

William Russell Todd

William Russell Todd, age 83, of Beckley passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by family on Thursday, Oct. 18, 2012.

He was born March 6 in Nortonville, KY, to Leslie Holt and Lennie Marie (Sisk) Todd.

Russell served in the U.S. Air force until 1955. He worked as an account executive for Mobil Oil Corporation until his retirement.

He is survived by a daughter Patricia Todd and her husband JD Dillon of Glade Springs, Daniels, WV, a son Russ Todd and wife Paulette of Summit, MS, grandchildren Lindsey Todd of Maryland and India Bradford of Mississippi and a brother Doug Todd of Madisonville, KY.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years Betty (Richard) Todd and his parents Holt and Lennie Todd.

Thanks to Hospice of Southern WV, the nursing staff of Raleigh General Hospital, Allay Home Care and the many friends for their love, help and support.

A private family Celebration of Life for Russell and Betty Todd will be held in KY.
