Connie Lynn Taylor

Miss Connie Lynn Taylor, age 55, of Clear Creek, WV, crossed that bridge to no more sorrows on Saturday, October 12, 2013, at home.

Connie was born on August 7, 1958, in Beckley, WV, and was the baby daughter of the late Willie and Essie Young Taylor. Following her mother’s sudden death she moved to Clear Creek in 1975 to dwell with her brother-in-law and sister Howard and Carol Bryant, where she resided  the last 38 years of her life as a daughter.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant brother, Olen Taylor, and a brother Gary Taylor.

Survivors include sisters Carol Bryant and her husband Howard of Clear Creek, Wilma Allman and her husband Michael, and Ann Snyder and her husband Terry, all of Knoxville, Tennessee.

Connie attended the Ewing Creek Church for 38 years. The members there were an extended family in her life. Her kind, sweet spirit, soft little hand shakes, contagious laugh,  love of music, kids, and her own little selection of baby dolls will be cherished memories we hold onto. Connie’s love of worship of God will forever be a testimony to the presence of God in her life and His Amazing love and grace. One of her last words spoken were “going to beat you to church.”

During Connie’s journey this last several months new friends were added to her life, for which we are all grateful, the Hospice of Southern West Virginia, who has blessed not only her life but our home.

A Celebration of Connie Lynn Taylor’s Life will be held on Tuesday, October 15, 2013, at 2 p.m. at the Ewing Creek Church with Pastors Loretta Taylor and David Taylor Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens at Prosperity, WV. Friends may visit with the family from noon until service time on Tuesday. Pallbearers will be family and friends.

Private online condolences, floral tributes, and other expressions of sympathy may be directed to the family via our guestbook at www.roseandquesenberry.net.

Arrangements are by Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home, 1901 South Kanawha Street, Beckley, WV.
