Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 16, at the Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill, with Pastor Delmas Wolfe officiating. Entombment will follow in High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill. Friends may call one hour prior to services Wednesday, Oct. 16, at the funeral home.

SOUTH CAROLINA — Della Kathleen Bragg, who always considered West Virginia as her home, died Oct. 11, 2013.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 17, at Dodd-Payne-Hess Funeral Home, Fayetteville. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Prosperity. The family will receive friends from noon until time of service at funeral home.

John Franklin (Pappy) Campbell Jr.
ROANOKE, Va. — John Franklin (Pappy) Campbell, Jr., 81, of Roanoke, VA, went to be with the Lord on Friday, October 11, 2013, at Lewis-Gale Medical Center in Salem, VA. He was born on March 22, 1932, at White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia, the son of the late John F. and Anna Stanley Campbell.
Left to cherish his memory are his loyal wife of 62 years (high school sweetheart) Viola Nester Campbell; son, John Floyd Campbell of Memphis, Tenn.; daughter, Marilyn Harden Arthur and her husband, Mike Arthur; granddaughters, Christie Dooley and her husband, Chris, Taylor Campbell Harden; grandson, Michael Wayne Arthur; great-granddaughter, Hailey Elizabeth Lowder; 2 great-grandson, Jamey and Conner Dooley. He is also survived by his sister, Jean Frazier and her husband, Jerry; brother, Albert Campbell, all of Roanoke; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Frances Kidd and her husband, Charley, and sister, Dorothy Parker and her husband, Jack.
He graduated from White Sulphur Springs High School in 1950, served in the U.S. Army Signal Corps for 2 years. John and Viola moved to Roanoke in January 1955 to attend National Business College. John worked in the accounting field for a number of years before he and Viola opened Campbell Realty, Inc., in 1984. John managed the office and worked in sales until he became disabled with Alzheimer’s. From 2011 until his death, John was a resident at the Virginia Veterans Care Center where he received care from a warm and caring staff and the family would like to thank them for care he received during his stay. He was a member of Hollins Road Baptist Church where he has served as the Treasurer, Deacon and R.A. Counselor. John belonged to the Williamson Road Lions Club and the Isaac Walton League for a number of years, and was an avid hunter and gardener.
The family will receive friends at Oakey’s Funeral Service East Chapel on Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. A funeral service will be held at Oakey’s Funeral Service East Chapel at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, October 15, 2013, with the Rev. Charles (Chips) Doyle and Pastor Mark Washington officiating. Entombment will follow in Old Dominion Memorial Gardens, Roanoke, VA.
