Mildred Bivens McGraw
LYNCHBURG, Va. — Mildred Bivens McGraw, of Lynchburg, Va., formerly of Meadow Bridge, passed away Sunday, August 18, 2013, following a long illness.
Born April 2, 1929, in Lenox, Iowa, she was the daughter of the late Charles H. and Helen Neiderhaiser Bevins.
Mildred taught school in Iowa and was a drama director for Empire Production Company of St. Louis, Missouri. At the time of her marriage, she was a personnel representative for Bell Telephone Company in Omaha, Nebraska. Mildred faithfully attended the Meadow Bridge Missionary Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter Marcia A. McGraw; her brother Charles Bivens; niece Dorothy Dukes; nephew Charles Bevins; and great-nephew Jerry Bivens.
Survivors include her loving husband, Ernest D. McGraw of Lynchburg, Va., formerly of Meadow Bridge; her loving daughter Teresa M. Warner and husband James E. of Lynchburg, Va.; her grandson Sean M. Warner of Lynchburg, Va.; sister-in-law Shirley McGraw of Meadow Bridge; nieces Wilma Shearer, Helen Hinshaw, Linda Hogan and husband Dean, Cathy Warner, Lauren Brown and Bobby Konkler; nephews Allen Dukes and wife Debbie, Leroy Dukes and wife Kay; step-nieces Kayte Mullen, Nancy Reuschel, and Jamie Mumon; and step-nephew Jerry McGraw.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 21, at Smathers Funeral Chapel, Inc., with Pastor Mike Whisman officiating. Burial will be in the Wallace Memorial Cemetery at Clintonville.

Jarrold Glenn Miller
VICTOR — Jarrold Glenn “Perk” Miller, 75, of Victor, passed away Sunday, August 18, 2013, at the Veterans Medical Center in Backley
Jarrold was born January 3, 1938, in Beards Fork. He was the son of the late James Floyd Miller and Bertha Opal Harrah Miller. Also he was preceded in death by a sister, Janet Clark and a brother Jim Miller.
“Perk” was a retired truck driver for the Fayette County Division of Highways, He served in the U.S. Army and was a member of Ansted Church of the Redeemer.
Survivors of Jarrold are his daughters, Dixie Miller of Victor and Jerri Miller Skaggs of Richwood; His longtime companion and caregiver, Drema Cowles of Victor; three sisters, Carol Lynch and Ted of Toledo, Ohio, Karen Moore and Wayne of Winfield, JoAnn Cole and Jim of Scott Depot and a brother, Jack Miller and Sandy of Ansted.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Wednesday, August 21, 2013, at Wallace and Wallace Funeral Home Chapel in Ansted with Father Roy Gene Crist and Father Stan Holmes officiating. Burial will follow in the Legg Cemetery on Sunday Road at Hico.
Friends may call at the funeral chapel one hour prior to the service.
