Patricia Ann Roles
JUMPING BRANCH — Patricia Ann Roles, age 72, of Jumping Branch, West Virginia, passed away on Thursday, April 4, 2013, at her home.
Born on January 2, 1941, in Winding Gulf, WV, she was the daughter of Geneva Treadway Patrick Giles of Prosperity, WV, and the late Johnnie Patrick.
Mrs. Roles was a former office manager at the Shady Spring PSD, and was a former manager of the Green Valley Town Houses.
She was a member of the Cross Pointe Church of God, and had made her home at Jumping Branch for the past 17 years.
Mrs. Roles was preceded in death by her husband, John Roles.
Survivors include two sons, William Glenn Roles of Jumping Branch, and Mark Alan Roles of Jumping Branch.
A sister, Brenda Wurst of Dallas, Texas, six grandchildren, Jocelyn, Jenna, Jessica, Ty, Trip, and Trent. Two great-grandchildren, Kylee and Adrian.
A memorial service will be held at the Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home Shady Spring Chapel on Sunday, April 7, 2013, at 2 p.m. with Pastor Vondie Cook officiating. Friends may visit with the family 30 minutes prior to the services at the funeral home.

James ‘Bunn’ Isaac Singleton
COLUMBIA, S.C. — James “Bunn” Isaac Singleton, 48, of Columbia, South Carolina, and formerly of Beckley, West Virginia, passed away Easter morning, March 31, 2013, after a sudden illness.
He was the son of James Hairston of Charleston, West Virginia, and Shirley Singleton of Beckley, West Virginia. James graduated from Charleston High School where he played football and the Academy of Careers and Technology (ACT) with an Electrician Degree. He served in the United States Army with an honorable discharge.
James moved to South Carolina about three months ago to work as an Electrician at Schneider Electric.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, LeVette Brown Singleton of Columbia, South Carolina; sons: James Isaac Singleton, Jr., of Kimberly, West Virginia, Terrell Gray of Charlotte, North Carolina, and daughters: Jamicka Gray of Charlotte, North Carolina, and Courtney Brown of Atlanta, Georgia; brothers: Timothy L. Singleton and Jason Hairston of Charleston, West Virginia; sisters: Terri L. Singleton of Beckley, West Virginia, and Tiffany Stone of Charlotte, North Carolina; seven grandchildren and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, family and friends.
A celebration of his life will be Saturday, April 6, 2013, at 1 p.m. at the Levi Missionary Baptist Church, 5125 Church Drive, Rand, West Virginia, with Apostle Robert L. Haley, III, officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to service.
Preston Funeral Home is in charge of the funeral arrangements. Interment will be at the Donel C. Kinnard Memorial State Veteran Cemetery in Institute, West Virginia.
