Sally ‘ANN’ Kincaid

Sally “ANN” Kincaid, 55, of Backus Mountain Road, passed away Tuesday morning, February 25, 2014, at her home, following a long illness. Born August 11, 1958, at Beckley, she was the daughter of the late James Alfred Crowe, and Virginia Ann Wall Crowe Berry of Danese, WV. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Ralph and Alma Crowe, and maternal grandparents, Melvin and Ruth Wall. Ann attended Chestnut Knob Baptist Church of Layland, and was a homemaker. She had also worked as a LPN, at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center, in Fairlea, for over 13 years.

Survivors include her husband: David Randell Kincaid of Backus Mountain; her mother: Virginia Ann Wall Crowe Berry and husband Harold of Danese, WV; daughter: Jennifer Ann Schoolcraft and husband James of Thomasville, NC; son: Jesse Alfred Kincaid and wife Crystal of Backus Mountain, WV; 5 brothers: James Alfred Crowe, Jr., and family of Danese, WV, David Wayne Crowe and family of Gonzales, LA, Roger Alan Crowe and family of Port Allen, LA, Melvin Willis Crowe and family of Port Allen, LA, Michael Lee Crowe and family of Walker, LA; 1 stepbrother: Harold Carl Berry, II, and family of Danese, WV; 4 grandchildren: Darren McClanahan, Courtney Kincaid, Dylan Schoolcraft, and Corey Kincaid; Many special friends and extended family.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 2, 2014, at Wallace & Wallace Chapel in Rainelle, with Pastor Floyd Bolen officiating. Burial will follow at Kincaid Cemetery on Backus Mountain Road.

Friends may visit with the family Saturday evening, March 1, 2014, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

John ‘Jackie’ Lemeul Nutter

THOMASVILLE, N.C. — John “Jackie” Lemeul Nutter, 57, of Thomasville, North Carolina, formerly of Rupert, passed away Tuesday, February 25, 2014, at his home following a short illness.

Born March 30, 1956, in Baltimore, Maryland, he was the son of the late Albert James and Lila Mae Duncan Nutter.

John, “Jackie,” worked in the medical field and enjoyed helping others. He received his B.S. from Bluefield State College. John volunteered at a homeless shelter, even providing lodging when needed. He was a loving and caring man.

Survivors include his son Jacob Nutter and wife Ashley of Rupert; his daughter Christy Rooker and husband Tim of Muddy Creek Mountain, Alderson; 3 brothers Jim Nutter and wife Judy of Meadow Bridge, Wayne Nutter and wife Kathy of Pickaway and Mike Nutter and wife Jackie of Rainelle; 3 grandchildren Madison Rooker, Layken Rooker and Landenn Nutter; and many extended family.

Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, March 1, at Smathers Funeral Chapel, Inc. Burial will follow in the Wallace Memorial Cemetery at Clintonville.

Friends may call today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
