Helen Frances Gore

HINTON — Helen Frances Gore, 87, of 495 Stokes Drive, Hinton, died Thursday, Feb. 27, 2014.

Graveside services and burial will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 1, at Greenbrier Burial Park in Hinton. Pastor Jeff Canterbury will officiate. There will be no visitation.

Harold Lee Guilliams

“I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” Phil. 4:13. Harold Lee Guilliams, age 66, of Hines, WV, went home to heaven to be with his Lord and Savior on February 21, 2014, in the hospice unit of the VA Medical Center in Beckley, WV.

Born on January 11, 1948, he was the eldest son of Asline Gibson Guilliams and the late William Howard Guilliams. Harold was also known affectionately as “Cheezar,” a nickname given him as a child by his Grandfather Gibson.

Harold was a graduate of Rupert High School and served his country in the United States Army. He received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Theology from Toccoa Falls College in Toccoa Falls, Georgia, a diploma from the Region IV School of Practical Nursing, Lewisburg, WV, and an Associate in Applied Science Degree with a major in Nursing from the Dabney Lancaster Community College in Clifton Forge, VA.

He worked as a registered nurse at the Greenbrier Valley Medical Center in Fairlea, WV, and at Heartland Nursing Home in Rainelle, WV. Previous employment included working with mentally challenged patients at group facilities in Georgia and Lewisburg, WV. As a Bible scholar, he once served as pastor at Hines Gospel Tabernacle, preached at the Thorny Point Tabernacle on Hump Mountain and recently had been teaching Bible Study at Hines Baptist Church.

Those left to cherish his memory include his mother, Asline Guilliams of Hines, WV, his brother,  James (Floyd) Guilliams and wife Myra of Moneta, VA, his sisters Pat Smith and husband Lee of Crawley, WV, and Jean Fox and husband Robert of Leslie, WV, and the following nephews: Stewart Clements,  Philip Clements, Grant Clements, Evin Guilliams, Keelan Guilliams, Elliot Smith, Jared Smith, Nelson Smith, and Robby Fox, as well as a host of other family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 1, 2014, at the Union Mission Church (formerly Hines Gospel Tabernacle) at Hines, WV, with pastors Gary Eisenman, Bill Cruse, and Delmas Beavers officiating. Nephews will serve as pallbearers. Burial will follow at Wallace Memorial Cemetery at Clintonville, WV. The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday from noon until 2 p.m.
