Friends and family learned early in their relationship with Doug you needn’t offer him a penny for his thoughts. He was always happy to share his opinions and philosophies at no charge and he relished a good political debate. Doug was a very generous man. He championed veterans and their charitable organizations and children’s charities, donating thousands of dollars every year to these organizations. Every Christmas Eve he celebrated the Holiday by playing Secret Santa in the lay-away department of the local Kmart. Doug was a proud American and an ever proud West Virginian.
