William Hanna Legg
LEWISBURG — William Hanna Legg, 82, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2013, at Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley after a short illness.
Born Aug. 5, 1930, at Lewisburg, Bill was the son of the late Leslie Grant and Nita Edna Hanna Legg.
After retiring from the West Virginia Department of Highways in 1992, he enjoyed working in his woodshop, sitting on the patio visiting with neighbors and friends and making the best darn apple butter ever!! Bill served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War and thoroughly enjoyed the annual reunion of his Platoon 576. Bill was a devoted husband, father and a selfless family member, friend and neighbor.
Other than his parents Bill was preceded in death by sister, Elizabeth Johnson, and brothers, James and Garnett Legg.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Norma Jean Legg; daughter, Terry Bare and husband Dudley of Ronceverte; son Rick Legg and companion Cora of Fairlea; sister Carol Gragg and husband James Lee of Westminster, Md.; brothers, Wayne Legg of Martinsburg and Robert Legg of Lewisburg; very special friends Patti Waid and husband Duke of Lewisburg; and a couple of special little boys who always brightened his day; Jackson Williams and great-grandson, Jameson Hunter and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013, at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Lewisburg with Rev. Lewis Brooks officiating. Burial will follow at the Rosewood Cemetery.
Family will receive friends from noon until time of service Saturday.

Pauline Arnold Light
OAK HILL — Pauline Arnold Light , 83, died Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2013, at Plateau Medical Center in Oak Hill.
Born May 17, 1929 at Sanger, she was the daughter of the late Deniford and Amanda E. Suttle Arnold.
Pauline was a homemaker and attended the Church of God.
Her husband, Willie A. Light, preceded her in death.
Survivors include one son, Jerry Light and wife, Brenda of Richmond; one daughter, Deborah Light Brooks of Oak Hill; one brother, Tom Arnold of Louisiana; and three sisters, Eunice Salmons of Fayetteville, Drema Tolley of North Carolina and Lorriane Ceprich of North Carolina.
She is also survived by three grandchildren, Christopher Books, Jerry Light Jr. and Tiffany Light and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be on Friday, Feb. 22, 2013, at 2 p.m. at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill with the Rev. Joe Richardson officiating. Burial will be at High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home.
