Bonnie Hazel Turner Brown of Drews Creek went home to be with the Lord on Monday, Feb. 18, 2013, at Bowers Hospice House, Beckley, after a long illness.
She was born Nov. 17, 1921, at Naoma, a daughter of the late Ennis and Rebecca Buzzard Turner.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Phil, Covey, Sherman, Johnny, Earl, Chester and Samuel; sisters, Sylvia, Esta, Blanche, Emma; husband, Dallas D. Brown; daughter, Sonja Brown; three grandchildren, Heather and Heidi Brown, Wayman Bonds and great-grandson, Phillip Saul; daughter-in-law, Juanita Brown.
She is survived by two sisters, Violet Mooney and husband, Buddy of Naoma, and June Poore of Cazy, W.Va.; five sons, Arthur “Jack” Bonds and wife, Betty, of Arnett, Carl Brown and wife, Mary, of Myrtle Beach, S.C., David Brown of Naoma, Maxie Brown and wife, Margie, of Sophia and Melvin Brown of Beckley; three daughters, Delma Harless Blackburn, who was raised by Theron and Esta Harless, Lelia Tolliver and husband, Jackie, of Beckley, and Patty Williams and husband, Harvey, of Naoma; 22 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren.
The family would like to express its appreciation to the staff at Pine Lodge and Bowers Hospice House for the loving care of our precious mom.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, Feb. 21, at 1 p.m. in Sunset Memorial Park, Beckley, with Rev. Danny Gilfilen and Rev. David Cook officiating.
Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations of sympathy be made to the Food Pantry at Victory Worship Center, P.O. Box 234, Naoma, WV 25140

BRENTON — Crystal Gail Franklin Cline, 34, died Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2013, at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 22, 2013, at the Brenton Church of God, Brenton, with Pastor Lee Fischer officiating. She will be laid to rest in Peaceful Retreat Cemetery, Indian Creek.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the funeral home.
