DAVY — Hazel Rose Lambert, 92, of Davy, passed away Thursday, Dec. 19, 2013.
A celebration of Hazel’s life will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 27, in the Calfee Funeral Service Chapel with the Rev. Gary Walker and the Rev. Teddy Vance officiating. Burial will follow in the Short Cemetery at Briar Creek. The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 26, at the funeral home.

Lundy Raymond Lilly
CHARLESTON — Lundy Raymond Lilly, 63, of Charleston, WV, passed away at the Bowers Hospice House on December 6, 2013, after a long illness.
Born March 6, 1950, he was a son of the late Lundy Lilly and Hilda Carr Lilly.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
In addition to his parents, Lundy is preceded in death by his sister, Myrtle Cochran.
Those left to cherish his memory include his 7 children; 3 grandchildren; sisters, Minnie V. Blevins of Lester, WV, Connie Roundtree of Newark, OH, Sharon Parsons of Delaware, OH; brothers, Estel Lilly of Sneads Ferry, NC, and Jerry Lilly of Troy, MI; also sadly missed by Dorothy Hodges and family and John Repper.
Per Lundy’s wishes, he donated his body to the Human Gift Registry.
A memorial service for Lundy will be held at a later date.

Leo Long of Clear Creek, WV, passed away on Thursday, December 19, 2013, at the Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley following a long illness.
Born on June 26, 1941, he was the son of the late Roy Long and Arbutis Stover Long. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Debora Long Stapleton, a grandson Ronald Lee Maynor, and three brothers, Earl, Howard, and James Long.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Nancy Carroll Long, a daughter, Nancy Lee Burgess and her husband Fred of Artie, WV, two granddaughters, Ramona Schoolcraft and her husband Mike of Artie, and Emily Stapleton of Shady Spring. Three grandsons, Blake Maynor and his wife Robin of Clear Creek, Michael Stapleton and his wife Lisa of Beckley, and Cody Stapleton also of Beckley.
A special granddaughter-in-law, Helen Maynor and her fiancé Daniel Williams of Bolt. Four great-granddaughters, Katie, Cheyene, Autumn, and Desiree, and five great-grandsons, Tyler, Eric, Jeremiah, Hunter, and Austin.
The family gives a special thank you to our special friends, Paul and Donna Stover, and Dr. E.J. Salon and nurse Pandy.
Leo was a retired coal miner, retiring from Consol Roland Mine Local #1330. He suffered from a broken heart after the death of his grandson Ronald Lee Maynor who lost his life in the UBB explosion on April 5, 2010, and the sudden death of his daughter Debora Stapleton.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Rose and Quesenberry Peace Chapel in Beckley on Sunday, December 22, 2013, at 2 p.m. with Rev. Greg Scarbro, Pastor Ken Souder and Rev. Harold Williams officiating. Burial will follow at the Stover Cemetery at Burrell Branch.
Friends may visit with the family from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
