Patrick Joseph Madden
Patrick Joseph Madden, 70, of Daniels, died Tuesday, December 17, 2013.
He was born to the late Henry and Clare Madden, August 23, 1943, in Honesdale, Pa.
Patrick completed his training as a Radiology Technologist from Mercy Hospital, Scranton, Pa., in 1963 and received a BA from Morris Harvey University, Charleston, W.Va. Patrick served in the U.S. Army from 1966 to 1969. Patrick was a Radiologist Technologist, at the Beckley Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, from 1969 until his retirement in 1999.
Patrick was a member of the Saint Frances de Sales Church, Beckley.
Patrick is survived by his wife of 37 years, Shirley F. Madden, of Daniels, and his two children, Radonna M. Ford (Tom), Galena, Ohio, and Sean P. Madden (Denise), Ghent; sister, Mary Clare Jordan (Tony), Moscow, Pa. Six grandchildren, three nieces and two nephews also survive him.

Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 21, 2013, at St. Frances de Sales Church. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, Beckley.
Friends may gather with the family Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until service time at the church.

Jeannie Martin, age 55, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, December 13th, 2013, at her home at Edwards Crossing in Beaver.
She was born at Raleigh on June 3rd, 1958. She was the daughter of the late Bruce and Betty Martin.
Miss Martin was a homemaker; she worked at Pinecrest Hospital as a care giver and a culinary helper in the dietary department. Her older sisters Judith Ann Martin and Linda Lou Martin preceded her in death.
Survivors include her daughter Amber Jane Martin from Beckley, and her surviving sisters are Elaine Slone of Shady Spring, Brenda Jane Bennett of Raleigh, Janis Gunnoe of Princeton, Dallas Hughey from Florida and Kitty Sue Baum from North Carolina.
There will be a Memorial Service held at Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home, Shady Spring Chapel, at 10 a.m. Saturday, December 21, 2013.
Celebrating her Life, Pastor Rodney Allen will be officiating. There will be no visitation.
She will be missed by all and deeply loved. She was a wonderful mother, friend and sister to many people that were blessed by her presence. A special thank you to Venessa Redden and to Robin B. Poplen and Richard and all the loving neighbors and friends.
