Marsha Rae Blankenship
Marsha Rae Blankenship, 60, of Beckley, passed away on Monday, December 16, 2013, in Raleigh General Hospital, Beckley.
She was born March 5, 1953, in Oceana, W.Va., a daughter of the late Ocel Clinton and Mary Ellen Greene Bowden.
She is survived by her loving husband of 31 years Raymond Blankenship; a son Nick Blankenship and fiancée Allison Greene; a grandson Alex Blankenship; a sister Sandra Holmes of Lillydale; three great-nephews Garrett Blackburn of Lillydale, Matthew Gilley of Texas and Bradley Gilley of Florida; a special friend Mike Craft of Lynco; and a host of other loving family and friends.
Friends may gather with the family on Friday, December 20, 2013, from 11 a.m. to noon in the Chapel of Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, W.Va.; committal service will follow at the cemetery. She will be laid to rest in Palm Memorial Gardens, Matheny, W.Va.

MULLENS — Jeanette Faye Compton, 70, of Mullens, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2013.

Madgeline ‘Madge’ Compton
WYOMING — Madgeline “Madge” Compton, 33, of Wyoming, passed away Tuesday, December 17, 2013.
Born May 1, 1980, at Mullens, she was the daughter of the late Michael “MaGoo” Compton and Frankie Ward Compton.
Madge attended the Pineville Church of the Nazarene. She was a 1998 graduate of Pineville High School. She enjoyed playing softball, partying, taking care of her nieces and nephew, fishing, and being with her family and friends.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her brother, Michael “Peck” Compton, nephew, Steven Strickland Jr., grandfather, Donald Franklin Hall, and grandparents, Lonnie and Madge Compton.
Survivors include her mother, Frankie Ward Compton of the residence; sisters, Lea Strickland of New Richmond, Eva Dawn Compton of Wyoming and Rosemary Ward of Beckley. Her grandmother, Mary Day Hall of Pineville; special nieces and nephew, Sierra, Kayla and Steven Compton.
A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, December 20, 2013, in the Calfee Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor Matt Mitchell officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until the time of the service.
