Molly Jean Allen, 68, of Beckley went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, November 21, 2012, in the Bowers Hospice House.

Earlier in her life she was a graduate of the Beckley School of Hair Design and worked as a cosmetologist. Molly worked in Chicago as a private secretary for the CEO of Flora Shime Shoes. She was a member of the Bradley Freewill Baptist Church, enjoyed going to church until her health prevented her from attending. She loved working in her Flower and Vegetable Gardens, she enjoyed cooking and canning, but her joy was her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by an infant son Shannon Allen, three brothers Marvin, Tom, and Bill Maloney.

Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband of 48 years Larry Allen, Two daughters Kelly Taylor and Husband Jim of Fairmont, and Stephanie Bryson and Husband Ricky of Fairdale. Four grandchildren Brittany Bonnett, Wesley Webb, Seth Bryson, and Robbie Bryson. One Brother Patrick Maloney and wife Faye of Harvest, Alabama, Two sisters Shirley Ellis and her husband Joseph of Sugar Grove, Virginia, and Juanita Carter and her husband Robert of Fairdale.

Following the service Molly will be laid to rest in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Family and Friends will serve as pallbearers.

Honey, I know how much you loved flowers and how much you enjoyed working in them and because of your love for flowers made me have a love for flowers also. I know God has a special flower bed for you to work in. I know you now have a new heart and a new body and will never hurt or tire again. It is like I told you before you went into a coma for you to keep looking around for I will soon be with you. Your answer was “I’ll be waiting.” When I get there, we both will have new bodies and  we will work in the flowers together.

I know you are with our son Shannon, whom you never got to hold, but now you two are with each other and soon I’ll join you both.

Right now God only knows the hurt and ache I have, but through the finished work of Jesus Christ, we will spend eternity together. My special love now is for my two daughters and four grandchildren. My desire is my grandchildren will accept Jesus as their savor before our lives are over.

I fell in love with you at the Eccles Youth Center when you were 14 and I was 16. I knew when I saw that beautiful dark-haired girl; I knew she had to be mine. How thankful I am for the years you were always there for me. I have always loved you and still do. Again, I so very much miss you and love you.

My special thanks to the Beckley Hospice House for their kindness and love they showed to my family and me. May God richly bless your work.

Love from your husband,

Larry

Don’t weep for me because I’m with my Father, and in my Father’s house there is no sorrow, For I suffer no more. Blessed be the name of the Lord, for I can walk and have no pain. So don’t weep for me for I’m still in your hearts. Think about the hugs and kisses, and the love that I have for each of you. My Father says He will never leave us and He will never forsake us. So don’t weep for me. For each day is a blessing and so are memories. So don’t weep for me. Give God the praises and the glory, because I am FREE. Until we meet again, don’t weep for me, just smile when you think of me. Because Praise God I Am Free!!
