Timothy Russell Clifton

SANDLICK — It is with much sadness that we announce the passing of Timothy Russell Clifton, of Sandlick, WV.

He entered his eternal resting place on Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2012, in Colorado during a visit to his sisters. He was 40 years old.

He is the son of the late Russell Clifton of Beckley, WV, and the late Betty Burrell of Sandlick in Harper, WV.

He was born Nov. 2, 1972, in Beckley, WV.

Preceded in death by his sister Cynthia Burrell, his great-niece Angel Williams, maternal grandparents, George and Mary Daniel, and his paternal grandparents.

He is survived by 4 children, his daughters Erica Farr of Iowa Park, Texas, Gracie Clifton of Sandlick, WV, a stepdaughter Lindsey Reed of MacArthur, WV, his sons Cody and Dalton Clifton of Coal City, WV, his stepson Dalton Brandstetter of Sandlick, WV, his companion Angel Brandstetter of Sandlick, WV, one grandson Greyson Dean Brown, two brothers David Burrell of Beckley, WV, Edward Burrell and his wife Elisa Burrell of Harper, WV, three sisters Deborah Legg and her husband Mark Legg of Harper, WV, Patricia Morgan and husband David Morgan of Highlands Ranch, Colorado, his nieces and nephews and the rest of his family and friends.

The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2012, at Melton Mortuary. Pastor Greg Lanham will be officiating. Burial will follow at the Daniel Cemetery, Sandlick, WV.

Pallbearers: Charles Legg, Allen Burrell, Chris Burrell, Brian Meador, David Byrd, and Mike Eley.

Timmy’s greatest enjoyment was spending time with his family and friends.

He also enjoyed NASCAR and Mountaineer football.

Timmy worked in the carpentry profession.

Elbert ‘Chub’ Gillum

FAYETTEVILLE — Elbert “Chub” Gillum, 87, of Fayetteville, passed away Sunday, November 18, 2012, at Bowers Hospice House, Beckley.

Born on January 23, 1925, at Rush, Kentucky, he was the son of the late George and Anna Gillum.

Chub was a retired employee for the Town of Fayetteville.

Survivors include his brother, George Gillum and wife, Billie Jean; two nieces, Dreama Stover and Kathryn Turner; great-niece, Kathy Comer and her children; great-niece, Patricia Stover and her child; great-nephew, Kevin Stover; great-niece, Beth Boysworth and her child; great-nephew, Ricky Turner and his children; and great-niece, Angie Brown and her child.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 21, 2012, at Dodd-Payne-Hess Funeral Home, Fayetteville, with Pastor Russell Hays officiating. Burial will follow at Huse Memorial Park, Fayetteville.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, November 20, 2012, at the funeral home.
