Arden L. Rogers

WILMINGTON, Del. — Arden L. Rogers, 83, formerly of Corliss, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2014.

A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 2, at J.W. Rider Cemetery, Corliss, with Pastor Gene Bennett officiating. Burial will immediately follow.

Deanna Joy Saxton

OAK HILL — Deanna Joy Saxton, 52, of Oak Hill, died Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2014.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 5, at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill with Chaplain Ron George Jr. officiating and with full Police Honors. Burial will be at High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 4, at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to Tyree Funeral Home, 999 Jones Ave., Oak Hill, WV 25901, to assist the family with funeral expenses.

Arby Archie Smith

OAK HILL — Arby Archie Smith, 68, of Oak Hill, died on Thursday, February 27, 2014, at his home.

Born August 1, 1945, at Harvey, W.Va., he was the son of the late Rev. Arb Smith and Elizabeth Pearl Darby Smith.

He was a disabled laborer for Cabot Gas Company.

His wife, Barbara Marie (Smith) Smith, two brothers, a sister and a grandson preceded him in death.

Survivors include two sons, Arby Smith Jr. and wife, Angie Marie Turney, and Jonathan Smith and wife, Charlotte, all of Oak Hill, and a sister, Helen Smith of Oak Hill.

He is also survived by eight grandchildren, Jasmine Hope Turney, Vanessa Dawn Hamrick, Barbara Frances Smith, Edic Hodge Jr., Joseph Smith, Jessie Ray Smith, James Turney and Sharon Turney.

Mr. Smith was cremated. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
