Randy Bailey Jr.

Charles Randolph “Randy” Bailey Jr., 49, of Mullens, passed away on Friday, February 14, 2014, at Bowers Hospice House, Beckley, following a long illness.

Randy was born on December 1, 1964, at Mullens and was the son of Charles R. “Tinker” Bailey Sr. of Mullens and Gloria Janis Dooley Bailey of Mullens.

Randy was previously employed in Law Enforcement as a Police Officer for the town of Lester and Rhodell and was a Deputy for the Raleigh County Sheriff’s Department. He was a graduate of Mullens High School and the West Virginia State Police Academy at Institute. He was a member of the Beckley Masonic Lodge No. 95 A.F.& A.M

Randy was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Henry B. Dooley and Ara Canterbury Dooley and his paternal grandparents, Walter Nash Bailey and Edna Mae Hughes Bailey.

Those left to cherish his memory include his mother, Gloria Janis Bailey of Mullens; his father, Charles R. “Tinker” Bailey Sr. of Mullens; and one sister, Dana Bailey Long of Bonita Springs, Fla.

Services will be noon, Friday, February 21, 2014, at Tankersley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tommy Knotts officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, Beckley.

Friends may call one hour prior to services Friday at the funeral home.

Masonic graveside rites will be conducted by the Beckley Masonic Lodge No. 95 A.F. & A.M.

Pallbearers will be members of the Beckley Masonic Lodge.

Genevieve Smith Bennett

FAYETTEVILLE — Genevieve Smith Bennett, 84, of Fayetteville, passed away Tuesday, February 18, 2014.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, February 21, 2014, at Dodd-Payne-Hess Funeral Home, Fayetteville. Burial will follow at Huse Memorial Park, Fayetteville.

The family will receive friends one hour before the funeral on Friday at the funeral home.
