Kenneth Kane Meadows
Kenneth Kane Meadows, age 71, of Beckley, went home to be with the Lord at the Beckley Appalachian Regional Hospital in Beckley on Monday, February 3, 2014.
Born on November 13, 1942 in Beckley, he was the son of the late Carley and Pearl Aliff Meadows.
Mr. Meadows was a retired truck driver for P.I. Products. He had been a resident of Beckley most of his life.
Mr. Meadows enjoyed watching wrestling and working on vehicles, and he attended the Beckley Praise Church.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Meadows was preceded in death by two sisters, Joyce French and Barbara French, and by one grandson, Vern Lilly.
Those survivors left to cherish his memory include his wife of 52 years, Barbara Biggs Meadows. His children, Teresa Lilly and her companion Jack of Beckley, Kenneth Meadows “Buddy” Jr. of Beckley, Kathy Flannery and her husband Jimmy of Beckley, Johnny Meadows and his companion Jennifer of Coal City, Katrina Moore and her companion Lou, of Beckley, Elisha Marshall and her husband Daryl, of Beckley, and Thomas Meadows at home; 12 grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.
Brothers, Ronnie Meadows and his wife Glenna of White Oak, Jimmy Meadows and his wife Ruby of Mabscott, Carley “Junior” Meadows of Crab Orchard, and Joey Meadows of Raleigh. Sisters, Almedia Culver of Shady Spring, and Carol Laney of Bradenton, Fla.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Rose and Quesenberry Peace Chapel in Beckley on Saturday, February 8, 2014 at 1 p.m. with Pastor Paul Chapman officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens at Prosperity, W.Va.
Friends may visit with the family from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Saturday.
Pallbearers will be friends of the family.
