Ancil Allen Street Jr.

 Ancil Allen Street Jr., age 82, of Pluto Road, Shady Spring, passed away at the Beckley Appalachian Regional Hospital on Monday, February 3, 2014.

Born on March 13, 1931 in Missouri, he was the son of the late Ancil Allen Street and  Virginia Street.

Mr. Street was a former employee of McDonald Douglas in Titusville, Fla., and was a US Army Veteran.

He was preceded in death by his wife Nancy Street, and by a son James Street.

Survivors include his daughter, Janet Woolf and her husband Eric of Cocoa, Fla.; a granddaughter Crystal Bennett and her husband J.D. of Pluto Road, Shady Spring, with whom he had made his home. A grandson Michael Street and his wife Sheila of Cocoa, Fla. Six great grandchildren, Alexis and James Bennett, Brooke, Emily, Khloe, and Hunter Street; a sister Peggy Bellinger of Mount Dora, Fla.; a brother-in-law, Charles Bingham of  Dover, Tennessee.

There will be no visitation or funeral services.

Irene Mildred Taylor

Irene Mildred Taylor, 87, of Shady Spring, passed away on Tuesday, February 3, 2014, at her home.

Arrangements are pending completion at the Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home, Shady Spring Chapel, 729 Flat Top Road, Shady Spring.

 



Clara Ellen Webb

Clara Ellen Webb, 71, of Cool Ridge, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 2, 2014 at the Bowers Hospice House in Beckley.

Born on July 22, 1942 at Mt. View, she was the daughter of the late Clemon Otis Wood and Willie Isabelle Lilly Wood.

Mrs. Webb was former employee of Four Star Tool in Rosemont, Ill. She was also a former employee of Shaw Frank Engineering in assembly work.

Mrs. Webb had made her home in West Virginia for the past eight years. She was an excellent cook.

Mrs. Webb was preceded in death by her sister, Lena Bell Farley, and by a half-brother Charlie Wood.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 51 years, Charles Wayne Webb;  her daughter, Kimberly Lynnette Widmaier and her husband James Peter of Bristol, Wis., Tommy Wayne Webb and his wife Monica of Berkley, Ill; three grandchildren, Robert Widmaier, Brandon Webb, and Anthony Webb.

The family extends special thanks to the Bowers Hospice House for their excellent care of Mrs. Webb.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home Shady Spring Chapel on Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2014 at 3 p.m. with Rev. Orville Setliff officiating.

Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park in Beckley. Friends may visit with the family from 1 to 3 p.m. on Wednesday. Pallbearers will be family members and friends.
