Ellen Elaine Bohn

PRINCETON — Ellen Elaine Bohn, 91, of Princeton, formerly of Port Hope, Mich., passed away Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2014, at the Harmony House in Lerona, W.Va.

Born November 16, 1922, in Port Hope, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Maggie (Barcley) Quick.

 She was formerly employed by a bank and telephone company in Port Hope, as well as the Concord College Library in Athens, W.Va. She was an active member of the Melrose Presbyterian Church and the women’s ministry of the church.

In addition to her parents, Elaine was preceded in death by two sisters, Lois Banker, Doris Stocks and brother Oren Quick and husband of 64 years, Reverend Paul Bohn.

She will be sadly missed by son David Paul Bohn of Monument, Colo.; daughters Paula Sue Bohn of Princeton, W.Va. and Marcia Bohn Khalil and husband Reverend Adeeb Khalil of Beckley; eight grandchildren, Amy, Ann Marie, Teresa, Paul, Andrew, Laura, Christopher, Ruth Ellen and great-grandchildren Joshua and Julia. Sister Margaret Siebert of Chelsea, Mich.

Visitation for Elaine will be held on Friday, February 7, 2014 at the Melrose Presbyterian Church, 228 Eads Mill Road, Princeton, W.Va. from 6 to 7 p.m. with the funeral service at 7 p.m. with Pastor Norman Mills officiating.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, February 8, 2014 at the Garden of the Cross, Roselawn Memorial Gardens, 450 Courthouse Road, Princeton.

Matthew T. Bounds

MT. LOOKOUT — Matthew T. Bounds, 75, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2014, following a short illness.

Tony Mike Bowyer

Tony Mike Bowyer, 57, of Beckley, died on Sunday, February 2, 2014, at his home.

Born May 22, 1956 at  Beckley, he was the son of  Weldon Bowyer and the late Ina Mae Vass Bowyer.

Tony was a coal miner.       His former wife, Drema Lee Evans Bowyer preceded him in death.

Survivors include two sons, Michael Bowyer of Beckley and Jerry Bowyer of Beckley; two daughters, Lisa Stapleton and husband, Michael II of Mabscott and Genny Bowyer of Charleston; companion, Cathy Bays of Beckley; two brothers Timmy Bowyer and John Bowyer both of Cirtsville; one sister, Annette Stover and husband, Ernie of Pax;  and four grandchildren

Funeral services will be on Thursday, February 6, 2014 at 2 p.m. at Tyree Funeral Home in Mount Hope with Rev. Fred Lovell officiating. Burial will be at Pax Community Cemetery.  Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the funeral home.
