Ray Albright

Ray Albright, 77, of Justice Addition, passed away Thursday, June 12, 2014.

Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at the First Presbyterian Church of Logan, with Father George Kostas officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill, W.Va.

Friends may call on the family on Tuesday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home and one hour prior to services on Wednesday.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Presbyterian Church Food Pantry 601 Stratton St. Logan, WV 25601.

Samuel Gale Boothe

Samuel Gale Boothe, 46, of Fairdale, went home to be with our Lord Thursday, June 11th 2014 at 1:01 p.m.

Born January 5th 1968, Gale passed away following a courageous battle with cancer. He was a loving, generous husband and father as well as an astute man of God. He will be missed by many loving family members, friends and colleagues.

Born in Mullens, W.Va., he is survived by his wife Anita and sons Corey and Chase of Fairdale; his mother Marlene Boothe of Fairdale; his father T.J. Boothe of McGraws; sister Janet Scott and husband Scott Durham of Saulsville; brother Johnny Boothe of Union; twin brother Dale Boothe and niece Kristen Boothe of McGraws; and sister Tina Macon of Charlotte, N.C. Other surviving members include father-in-law James Cline of Fairdale; sister-in-law Cynthia Bower and husband Tim of Fairdale; sister-in-law Karen Sigmon and husband Jim of Glen Fork; many nieces, nephews and loving family members.

He was preceded in death by a brother Jeff Boothe and mother-in-law Phyllis Cline.

Gale was a member of the I Heart Church in Beckley, where he provided a fierce testimony of his faith while battling cancer. He graduated from Glen Rogers High School in 1986 and earned his Bachelors Degree in accounting from Mountain State University in 2011. He was employed by Cynthia Bower, CPA.

Gale was the most amazing man God ever created. He touched many lives with his smile and uncanny sense of humor.

His family will proudly honor his life on Sunday, June 15 at Evans Funeral Home, Oceana. Friends are invited to call from 5 to 7 p.m. Funeral services will immediately follow. Gale will be laid to rest at 11 a.m., Monday, June 16 at the cemetery of Pine Grove Baptist Church in Ravencliff. The Rev. Brandon Hawley and Rev. Ernest Francis will officiate.
