Cora K. Bragg
NETTIE — Cora K. Bragg, 53, of Fenwick Mountain, passed away early Tuesday morning, November 27, 2012, at her home, following a long illness.
Born November 3, 1959, at Richwood, she was the daughter of the late Dennis H. and Martha J. Russell Williams.
Cora attended the First Baptist Church of Quinwood, and was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband: Richard R. Bragg of Nettie; a daughter: Chasidy Farro (John) of Hull, Mass.; a son: Steven M. Wamsley (Laura) of Albemarle, N.C.; a sister: Nora Logar (Larry) of Nettie; two brothers: Clayton Parsons of Richwood, and Bobbie Williams of Belen, NM; two nieces: Christina Smith and Kimberly Logar; three great-nieces: Jacqualynn Billups, Danielle Billups, and Shelbie Logar Hodichak, and one great-nephew: Alexander Smith.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, November 30, 2012 , at Wallace & Wallace Chapel in Rainelle, with Rev. Chad Rodes officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Nettie.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, November 29, 2012, at the funeral home.

Evelyn R. Edwards
MULLENS — Mrs. Evelyn Rae (Burcham) Edwards, 80, of Mullens, peacefully entered the Kingdom of Heaven, surrounded by her children and loved ones on Saturday, November 24, 2012.
Born January 15, 1932, in Mullens, she was the daughter of the late H.S. and Mary (Hash) Burcham.
Evelyn was a lifelong resident of Mullens, she was a born again Christian, and a member of the Highland Avenue Baptist Church where she was a member of the Chandler Circle and the American Baptist Women, she taught Sunday school and many different age groups for many years, a member of the Choir, a member of the Order of Eastern Star Chapter #100 where she held many offices and was past Worthy Matron.
Evelyn was an avid bowler and a member of the seniors bowling leagues at both Accu Lanes and Leisure Lanes where she placed 5th in the Nation in the Senior Women's International Bowling Championship in Buffalo, NY in 1994.
In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by the love of her life, Charles J. Edwards Sr. in 1991; five brothers; and two infant sisters.
Those left to cherish her memory include her two sons, Charles Edwards Jr. and his wife, Nancy and John Edwards and his wife, Marsha; her daughter, Cathy Wilcox and her husband, Randy, all of Mullens; 12 grandchildren, Charles III, Staci, Max, David, Leslie, Stephen, Anna, Andy, Adam, Chad, Mandy, and Matthew; 11 great grandchildren, Lindsey, Caleb, Joel, Jay, Presli, Kynsli, Aidan, Noah, Audrey, Jacob, and Levi; and a host of special nieces and nephews.
Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, November 28, 2012, at Highland Avenue Baptist Church, with David Pollock, Pastor Vernon Sears, and Rev. Warren Gilpin officiating. Burial will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park, Princeton.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. Wednesday until time of services at the church.
Order of the Eastern Star Mullens Chapter 100 will conduct Eastern Star rites at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at the church.
Pallbearers will be Charlie Edwards III, David Edwards, Stephen Edwards, Andrew Johnston, Adam Johnston, and Matthew Wilcox.

Michael J. McGraw
On Saturday, Nov. 24th, 2012, Michael J. “Mike” McGraw, 65, of McGraws, died at home following a long battle with cancer. He was born February 5, 1947, in Milwaukee, Wis., to the late Marvin “Jack” McGraw and Lois Wittemann.
Mr. McGraw was a lifelong educator who started his career in the Wyoming County School System teaching briefly at Pineville Junior High and for several years at Oceana High School. He then became Director and later Dean of the Wyoming County Campus of Southern West Virginia Community & Technical College. He retired from Southern as Vice President of Academic Affairs in 2005. He was a 1965 graduate of Glen Rogers High School and graduated from Concord College in 1969 with a BS Degree in Biological and General Sciences. He received a Master’s Degree from the WV College of Graduate Studies and continued his education at Harvard University’s Institute for Management of Lifelong Education.
He was active in community affairs and was Chairman of the Wyoming County Youth Camp; Chairman of the Ravencliff- McGraws- Saulsville PSD; and a member of the Wyoming County Economic Development Authority. He was a hobbyist who enjoyed learning and working with his hands. He was a past president of the International Brotherhood of Magicians. He was involved in 4-H and was a past president of the 4-H Leader’s Association as well as the WV Chapter of 4-H All-Stars. He was a member of the Glen Rogers High School Hall of Fame and Phi Sigma Epsilon fraternity.
In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by a sister, Patricia Ann McGraw.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Patricia Joan May of McGraws and three sons and their spouses: Scott and Marla McGraw of Heath, Ohio; Brian and Robin McGraw of McGraws; and Jeremy and Amanda McGraw of Moundsville. He has four grandchildren: Michael, Timothy, Allison and Lauren McGraw. He is also survived by two brothers and their spouses, Tim and Linda McGraw, and Dan and Sue McGraw, all of McGraws.
The Rite of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, Nov. 28th, at 1 p.m. at the Melton Mortuary Chapel. Monsignor Samuel Sacus of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Beckley will be presiding. Prayers will also be offered by Pastor Dwayne Hurd of Pine Grove Baptist Church in Ravencliff. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park in Beckley. The family will receive friends Wednesday, Nov. 28th from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Melton Mortuary and one hour prior to the services on Thursday.
The honor of carrying Mike per his wishes has been given to his three sons, Scott, Brian, and Jeremy, his two brothers, Tim and Dan; brother-in-law, Steve May, and friend of the family, Jackie Irick of Glen Fork.
The family wishes to express their thanks to the staff of the Raleigh Regional Cancer Center and Hospice of Southern WV.

Lillia F. Thomas
Mrs. Lillia F. Thomas, 97, of Beckley, went home with the Lord on Sunday, Nov. 25, 2012, at Bowers Hospice House, following a long illness.
Born Jan. 24, 1915, in Crystal, W.Va., to the late Julia Ann Hodge and John Millner.
Lillia was a member of New Hope Baptist Church and she was active in the Raleigh County Commission on Aging, Silver Hair Legislative, she retired from Beckley Hospital as an lab technician in 1984. She also loved to visit the sick and shut-in through the community, she had a passion for making quilts and crocheting.
She was preceded in death by 11 siblings and her oldest child, Clifton Clay.
Left behind to cherish her memory include her daughter, Garnet Baldwin (Charles) of Beckley; five grandchildren: Shannon Clay Johnson, Shawn Clay Anderson, Florence Clay, Jonica Baldwin Shaw and Charles Baldwin Jr.; special great-great-grandchild, Isaiah Shaw and a host of great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephew, relatives, and friends.
Services to celebrate he life of Lillia will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 29, 2012, at Durgan Funeral Chapel in Beckley, with Pastor Sandra Jackson and the Rev. Walter Leach officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Beckley.

ROCKHOUSE — Marie Toler, 88, departed this life Sunday, November 25, 2012, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Born March 16, 1924, in Guyan, she was the daughter of the late Clara and Dewey Toler.
Marie was a homemaker and a member of Coal Mountain Freewill Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Buddy Toler; a brother, Kiser Hatfield; and three sisters, Claudia Toler, Junie Godfrey and Tressie Morgan.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, James Toler of Rockhouse; 14 children, Virgie (Lonnie) Harper of Brenton, Velma Cline of Coal Mountain, Darrell (Anita) Toler of Elk Creek, Ernestine (James) Christian of Coal Mountain, James (Linda Sue) Toler of Oceana, Elestine (Joe) Ellis of Justice, Arnold (Beatrice) Toler of Elk Creek, Loretta (Carl) Harper of High Point, N.C., Margie (Roy) Brown Greenville, S.C., Phyllis (Samuel) Cline of Huntington, Jessie (Lisa) Toler of Coal Mountain, Randy Toler of Rockhouse, Helen (Greg) Hatfield of Coal Mountain, and Charlotte (Charles) Southard of Coal Mountain; two brothers, Roger Hatfield of Coal Mountain, Wirt Hatfield of Clearfork; 54 grandchildren; 81 great-grandchildren; and 17 great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and family and friends.
A celebration of Marie's life will be 1 p.m. Thursday, November 29, 2012, at Coal Mountain Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. James Ellis and Rev. Roger Browning officiating. Marie will be laid to rest in Big Cub Missionary Baptist Cemetery, Coal Mountain.

TIOGA — James Edward Williams, 48, of Tioga, died Monday, November 26, 2012.

Hertchel Lee Wolfe
Hertchel Lee Wolfe, 79, of Shady Spring, passed away Tuesday, November 27, 2012.
Born in Poca, W.Va., he was a son of the late Albert and Maureen Payne Wolfe.
Hertchel was a supervisor for A & P in Chicago, Ill., for 23 years and a coal miner for 12 years at Appalachian Coal Company. He was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to his parents, Hertchel is preceded in death by his sister, Joanne Mann.
