Michael Chapman

BLUEFIELD, W.Va. — Michael Chapman, age 57 of Bluefield, formerly of Beckley, passed away at a Bluefield care facility on Wednesday, January 8, 2014.

Born in Beckley on February 29, 1956, he was the son of the late Charles Chapman and Effie Stanley Chapman Pate. 

He grew up in Princewick, W.Va., with his mother and his grandparents, the late Mrytle and Arthur Stanley.

He is survived by two aunts, Betty Callicoat of Procterville, Ohio, and Anna Stanley of Coal City, W.Va. A special cousin, Shirley Ingole of Ghent, W.Va. Numerous other cousins in the area also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Rose and Quesenberry Peace Chapel in Beckley on Saturday January 18, 2014, at 11 a.m., with Rev. Orville Setliff officiating. Burial will follow at the Parker Cemetery at Coal City, W.Va. Friends may visit at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until service time on Saturday.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to a favorite charity.

LEWISBURG — Nancy C. Coleman, 83, of Lewisburg, passed away Wednesday, January 15, 2014, at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center.

Mary Teena Hatfield

HANOVER — Mary Teena Hatfield, a native of Pineville, died Jan. 14, 2014.

Service will be 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 17, 2014, at the Freedom Full Gospel Assembly House of Prayer, with the Rev. Jimmy Fletcher and Evang. Butch White officiating. Burial will follow in Greenelawn Memorial Gardens, Greeneville, Tenn.

Friends may call 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 16, 2014, at the Freedom Full Gospel Assembly House of Prayer.
