Harry J. Perkins Jr.

Harry J. Perkins, Jr., age 49, of Daniels, WV, was taken from us way too soon on Tuesday, July 2, 2013, from blood clot complications.

Harry was born on August 4, 1963, in Daniels, and was the son of Sylvia Jean Huffman Perkins of Daniels, and the late Harry Perkins Sr.

Harry was an avid drag racer for over 20 years, and loved WV Mountaineer sports. He is sorely missed by his sidekick “Beagle Sally” which was with him no matter where he was, and his two favorite furry friends which cherished him “Little and Biggety.”

Harry never met a stranger and loved to talk. Later in life he started competing in classic car shows in the area where he met so many people.

Survivors include his soul mate in life, his wife of 30 years, Davena Kay Lilly Perkins, and  one sister Jeannie Harnest and her husband John of Mechanicsville, Virginia.

Funeral services will be conducted to Celebrate The Life Of Harry Jay Perkins Jr. on Saturday, July 6, 2013, at 1 p.m. at the Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home Shady Spring Chapel with Pastor Luke Richmond officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens at Prosperity, WV.

Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until service time on Saturday.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.

Private online condolences, floral tributes, and other expressions of sympathy may be directed to our guestbook at www.roseandquesenberry.net.
