Donald Bryan ‘Bull’ Parker
Mr. Donald Bryan “Bull” Parker, 44, of Beckley, died Monday, February 4, 2013.
Born April 28, 1968, he was the son of Donald E. Parker of Beckley and Geraldine Parker of Elmira, NY; the grandson of Adie Parker of Affinity, and the late Stella Parker and Ardelia and Henry Carter of Beckley.
Bryan accepted Christ at the age of nine, being baptized at New Hope Baptist Church, and rededicated his life and was baptized in Jesus Name, August 2011. He was a 1986 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School and a 1991 inductee of Woodrow Wilson’s Football Hall of Fame. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1987, attended Salem College and was a graduate of West Virginia State College.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of nine years, Tracie Staples Parker; special mother, Norma Parker of Beckley; daughters, Deliesha Folden, Charleston, Courtney Prayear, Houston, TX, and Kameryn Parker, Beckley; two special daughters, Erika and Paige Staples, both of Beckley; three grandchildren, Malaya, Camren, and Dejur, all of Charleston; two sisters, Ardelia “DeeDee” Parker, Lithonia, GA and Stephanie Parker, Beckley; special brothers, Michael Grant, Charlotte, NC, and David Finney, Philadelphia, PA; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m., Saturday, February 9, 2013 at Heart of God Ministries, 1703 South Kanawha St. with Bishop Earnest Stewart and Bishop Fred T. Simms officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park, Beckley. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church.

FAYETTEVILLE — Barbara Ann Wilson Patton, 73, of Fayetteville, died on Tuesday, February 5, 2013.
Funeral services will be on Friday, February 8, 2013 at 1 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on Shawnee Drive in Huntington, with Bishop Gary Carico officiating. Burial will be at Ridgelawn Memorial Gardens, Barboursville.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Friday at the church.
