Wilma Bernadean Bauer

HINTON — Wilma Bernadean Bauer, 83, of Hinton died Friday, Jan. 11, 2013.

Arrangements are incomplete at Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors of Hinton.


Bernard Lee Bishop

CONWAY, S.C. — Bernard Lee Bishop, age 84, passed away Friday, January 11, 2013, at his residence.

Mr. Bishop was born in National, W.Va., a son of the late Harold J. and Gladys Irene Bray Bishop. He was an avid golfer and a member of Grand Strand Baptist Church. Prior to retirement he was employed by Slab Fork Coal Co. in Slab Fork, West Virginia.

Surviving are his wife Violet Bishop of Conway; two sons: Ray Bishop of Elizabeth, W.Va., Kenny Bishop of Scarborough, W.Va.; two daughters: Sharon Collins (John) of Warner Robbins, Ga., Linda Keen (Dusty) of Coal City, W.Va.; five grandchildren: Shannon Bishop, Kevin Collins, Mandy Keen, Sandy Trzicak, Rusty Keen; six great-grandchildren: Emily Bishop, Colby Keen, Ireland Collins, Patrick Collins, Ashlyn Keen, Kylee Trzicak; and a very close family friend, Susie Johnson.

Funeral Services will be held 5 p.m. Monday at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel, with Rev. Doug Smith officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at a later date in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens in Beckley, W.Va.

Joe Quentin Blevins

Joe Quentin Blevins, 72, of Clear Creek, WV, passed away on January 11, 2013, in Charleston, WV.

He was born December 22, 1940, a son of the late Kemper and Katherine Blevins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Jeffery Wayne Blevins; late wife, Maria Blevins; a brother, Charles “Mike” Blevins.

He is survived by his wife, Joan; a daughter, Sandra (David) Lilly of New Castle, Del., two sons, Joe Jr. of Clear Creek, Robert (Melissa) of Pax; stepdaughter, Deborah Barbee of Delaware City, Del., Stepson Fred Wriston of Clear Creek; sisters, Patsy (Don) Payne of Connersville, PA, Barbara (Jackie) Dunbar of Clear Creek; brothers, Jimmie (Helen) Blevins of Narrows, VA, Jerry (Connie) Blevins of Fairdale, WV, Danny (Brenda) Blevins of Lindside, WV; twelve grandchildren and six great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon, January 14, 2013, at 2 o’clock in the Workman’s Creek Methodist Church, Workman’s Creek, WV, with the Rev. Scott Farnsworth and Deacon David Kincaid. Interment will be in Workman’s Family Cemetery, Clear Creek, WV.

Visitation will be from 6 to 10 p.m. Sunday at the church.
