LOGAN — Mary F. Esposito, 90, of Logan died Thursday.

SOUTH POINT, Ohio — Glen Frye, 70, of South Point, Ohio, died Thursday.

Pauline M. Compton King

TAVARES, Fla. — Pauline M. Compton King died Dec. 23, 2012.

Interment is in Pine Forest Cemetery, Mount Dora, Fla.

Louise Lester

Mrs. Louise Lester, 59, of Beckley died Friday, Dec. 28, 2012.

June Stover Mabe

Wanda June Stover Mabe, 92, of Beckley died Thursday, December 27, 2012, at Greystone Inn following a short illness.

Born on Jan. 8, 1920, in Stover, she was the daughter of the late Omer O. and Ocie Mae Clay Stover.

June, as she was affectionately known, spent her childhood on Harper Road where she was a lifelong resident. She was a member of the Church of Christ on Carriage Drive where she taught Bible School and Sunday School classes. She was a 1937 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School and received her teaching degree from Concord College. She began her teaching career at Crab Orchard Elementary and taught in Raleigh, Boone, Wyoming and Mercer counties and retired as the Elementary Career Coordinator for Raleigh County. June had over 37 years of service in the field of education.

She was a member of the NEA, Senior Friends, Raleigh County Retired Teachers’ Association. She loved to garden and crochet. She also loved to travel and visited the Holy Land, Australia, Hawaii, Canada, Alaska, and traveled extensively on the east coast.

In addition to her parents, in 1984, she was preceded in death by her husband, William W. Mabe. She also was preceded in death by her grandson, Gregory Garten, in 2010 and her aunt, Blanche Wood Ashworth.

Survivors include two daughters, Billie June “Toy” Givens and husband Carroll of Daniels and Sandra Sue “Susie” Beha and husband Jim of Flat Top. Four grandchildren include Lisa Sue Keiling and husband Brian, Misti Michele Carpenter and husband Mike, William Brent Beha and his wife Marsha, and Adam Blake Beha. Two great-grandchildren include William Edward and Jessica Keiling.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, December 30, 2012, in the Melton Mortuary Chapel with the Minister Brent Bishop officiating. Burial will follow in the Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery, Beckley. Friends may call Sunday from 1 p.m. until the time of service.

Pallbearers will be family members and friends.

The family request that donations of sympathy be made to Hospice of Southern West Virginia.

The family wishes to express their gratitude to The Villages of Greystone friends, staff, and care givers and to the Hospice of Southern West Virginia nurses.
