Mary E. Berry
WINONA — Mary E. Berry, 89, of Winona, passed away Tuesday, July 9, 2013, following a long illness.
She was born April 23, 1924, at Albright, W.Va., a daughter of the late Fred John Hanner and Jessie Myrtle Goff Hanner.
Mary was a retired telephone operator for AT & T. She was a homemaker and a member of Keeney’s Creek Missionary Baptist Church at Winona.
She is survived by her son, William “Bill” Denson of Georgia; two sisters, Dora Roupe of Charleston, Betty Tolley of Detroit, Mich., and a sister-in-law, Eileen Hanner of Winona; grandchildren, David Denson and Pamela Knight; great-grandchildren, Ruby Denson, Avery Knight, Emerson Knight and Elliot Knight; and a beloved niece, Cindy Hanner of Winona.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Keeney’s Creek Missionary Baptist Church of Winona with Pastor Mark Secrist and Pastor Joe Shaffer officiating. Burial will follow in Restlawn Memory Gardens at Victor.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church.

Eula Madge Bevins
LESLIE — Eula Madge Bevins, 89, of Leslie, passed away Monday, July 8, 2013, at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center, Ronceverte, following a long illness.
Born March 15, 1924, in Greenbrier County, she was the daughter of the late Edward E. and Sarah Essie Ledbetter McClung Chrisman. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Elwood Bevins Sr., in 1986, and a son, Michael Bevins, in 1978; four sisters and four brothers.
Eula was a homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include two daughters: Sissie Sizemore and husband Kenneth of Daniels, Connie VanMeter and husband Johnny of Quinwood; five sons: Roger Bevins and wife Diane of Leslie, Darrell Bevins and wife Patty of Rupert, Claude Bevins Jr. and wife Sandra of Marfrance, Charles Bevins and wife Luann of Marfrance, David Bevins of Leslie; and one brother, Cecil Chrisman of Leslie; one brother-in-law, Bill Bevins of Charleston, W.Va., two sisters-in-law, Helen Chrisman of Indiana and Betty Boone of Crichton; 14 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 13, 2013, at Wallace and Wallace Funeral Home, Rainelle, with Rev. David Chrisman officiating. Burial will follow at Wallace Memorial Cemetery at Clintonville.
Friends may gather with the family Friday evening from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
