Larry B. Burns

RONCEVERTE — Larry B. Burns, 72, of Ronceverte, formerly of Sam Black, passed away Friday, July 5, 2013, at The Brier Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Ronceverte where he resided.

Born Dec. 21, 1941, at Sam Black, he was the only child of the late Lloyd A. and Mattie “Eugenia” Remley Burns.

Larry attended several churches in the Lewisburg area and loved all animals.

Larry is survived by several cousins.

Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Thursday, July 11, 2013, at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Lewisburg, with the Rev. Ray Propps officiating. Burial will follow in the Burns Family Cemetery at Sam Black.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations of sympathy may be made to the Greenbrier County Humane Society, 151 Holliday Lane, Lewisburg, WV 24901.

Billy Edgar Cheesbrew

MOUNT HOPE — Billy Edgar Cheesbrew, 83, of Mt. Hope, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 6, 2013.

Born June 28, 1930, he was the son of the late John and Lauzie Cheesbrew.

Bill enjoyed the outdoors; he liked hunting, fishing and gardening along with woodworking. Bill loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and being with his church family. He attended the Maynor Freewill Baptist Church. Bill was a Veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps.

In addition to his parents, Bill is preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Joyce Cheesbrew.

Those left to cherish his memory include his son, Danny Scott and wife Linda of Denver, N.C.; daughter, Karen Duncan and husband Kenneth of Camp Hill, Pa.; grandchildren, Billy Scott and wife April of Denver, N.C., Leslie Scott of Beckley, Joshua and Caleb Scott of Denver, N.C., Angie Snyder and husband Travis of Tioga, Pa.; great-grandchildren, Daniel, Zeke, and Sara Scott, Lee, Casey, and Jolene Snyder, Jay and Ashlyn Meadows; sister, Jean Greer of Columbus, Ohio.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 10, 2013, at Blue Ridge Funeral Home, Beckley, with Pastor Larry Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Military Honors will be performed by the American Legion Post #32 Honor Guard, of Beckley.

Friends may gather with the family Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Heart Association.
