Delma Anderson

Delma Anderson, 75, of Beckley, passed away Friday, May 2, 2014.

Arrangements are pending completion at the Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home, 1901 S. Kanawha St., Beckley.


Kathryn Diane ‘Kathy Dee’ Harper Cox

LYNCO — Kathryn Diane “Kathy Dee” Harper Cox, 42, of Lynco, passed away Friday, May 2, 2014.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 6, at the Toneda Missionary Baptist Church, Kopperston, with the Rev. Algie Cook and Pastor James Hamrick officiating. Kathy Dee’s cremains will be laid to rest at a later date in Palm Memorial Gardens, Matheny. Friends may gather with the family from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday, May 5, at the church.

Norma Jean Ellis

OAK HILL — Norma Jean Ellis, 84, of Oak Hill, passed away on April 22, 2014.

Born on the 31st day of March in 1930 in Montgomery, West Virginia, to the late Mr. and Mrs. Tyler Elgin Sr.

Ms. Ellis retired from Hilltop Nursing Home in Glen Jean as a nurse and has been in the health care industry for many years.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Robert Lee Ellis Sr., and a brother, Thomas Elgin.

Those left behind to carry on her legacy include her sons, Stuart Ellis and wife Karen, and their daughter, Kaylee Nicole; grandchildren by marriage Kyler and Marissa, her son Robert Lee Ellis Jr., grandson Luke, and her brothers Tyler Elgin and Bob Elgin.

A gathering to celebrate Norma’s life will be held at 11 a.m. to noon on Tuesday, May 6, 2014, at the Blue Ridge Funeral Home in Prosperity. A private entombment will also be held at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens after the gathering.
