Robert L. Thompson
Robert L. Thompson, 62, of Colcord, went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, November 3, 2012, at CAMC Memorial Hospital in Charleston, W.Va.
He was born December 29, 1949, at Ameagle, W.Va., a son of the late Horace and Pernie Painter Thompson.
He was a member of the Dorothy Church of God, Dorothy, W.Va. He was a UMWA retired coal miner in District #17 with over 30 years of service.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Ronnie, Bill, Gary David; sister, Juanita, and Baby Thompson, and a nephew, Jimmy Lewis Williams.
He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Vonda Thompson; two daughters, Rhonda Jean Alderman and companion Samuel Pettry of Colcord, Bobbi Jo Miller and husband, Tony, of Rock Creek; grandchildren, Natasha Nichole, Kyla Marie, Haley Brooke, Melvin Dewayne, Travis Lee, Malachi Harrison, Maycee Jo, Anthony Joel, Makayla Jo, Kirsten Nicole, Kaylee Jean; sister, Jean Williams and husband, Boyd, of Artie, WV, Margie Estep and husband, Kenneth, of Ameagle, Joyce Hodge of Clear Creek; brother, Danny Thompson and wife, Joyce Mae, of Dorothy. Special friends Guy Jarrell, Steve and Paula “Pinto” Massey and Kenny Jones.
Service will be 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 9, 2012, at the Dorothy Church of God, Dorothy, with Pastor Robbie Brown and the Revs. Steve Massey and Janice Florence officiating. Burial will follow in the Estep Cemetery at Ameagle.
Friends may call 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the church.

CRAIGSVILLE — Randall Alvin Young, 56, of Craigsville, a native of Richwood, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2012.
Service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 8, at Simons-Coleman Funeral Home, Richwood, with the Rev. Mike Malcomb officiating. Burial will follow in Mountain Trail Cemetery, Craigsville. Friends may call 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
