Wayne Bostic

RONCEVERTE — Wayne Bostic, 66, of Ronceverte, passed away Sunday, Jan. 19, 2014.

Service will be noon Tuesday, Jan. 21, at the Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Ronceverte with Pastor Tim Dillon officiating. Burial will follow at the Salem Cemetery at Organ Cave.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Activity Department at the Brier Nursing Home, 601, Rocky Hill Road, Ronceverte, WV 24970.

Jerry Lee Hedrick

PINEVILLE — Jerry Lee Hedrick, 78, passed away Saturday, January 18, 2014, at his home.

He was born September 4, 1935, the son of the late John and Gladys Hedrick.

Jerry was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He entered the Marines in 1953 and attained the rank of Gunnery Sergeant. While serving his country he earned several awards, including several Purple Hearts.

After retiring from the military, Jerry worked in the coal mines in Wyoming County.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Norma Jean Mounds and Margaret “Tiny” Walls, and a brother, Roger Hedrick.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Donna Faye Toler-Hedrick, with whom he celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary on November 12, 2013; his three children and their spouses, Larry Bedford Hedrick and his wife, Cathy, Lisa Gail McClain and her husband, Robert, and Darlene “Tweety” Shirley and her husband, Steven; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and siblings, Jack and Dan Hedrick, both residents of Wyoming County.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. Monday, January 20, 2014, in the Calfee Funeral Service Chapel, Pineville.

Sandra ‘Sandi’ Holt

Sandra “Sandi” Holt, 61, of Sophia went home to be with the Lord, on Friday, January 17, 2014, in Beckley Appalachian Regional Hospital following a long illness.

Born December 22, 1952, in Raleigh County, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Wanda Eddins Rutherford.

Sandi loved her family and her grandchildren were her pride and joy. She loved to cook, read, work crossword puzzles, and was an avid wrestling fan; she loved watching RAW on Mondays.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen Holt Sr.

Those left to cherish her memory include her four children, Stephen (JR) Holt and wife Debbie, Stephanie Adkins and husband Timmy, Shawn Holt and his wife Krystal, Shannon Holt and wife Felicia; her 7 grandchildren, Alexis, T.J, Amber, Maddie, Skylar, Kylee, and Harley; her sisters, Brenda Owens, Lisa Lilly, and her brother David Hopkins; a host of nieces, nephews, and beloved friends; a devoted caregiver, Becky Miller.

Services will be held Tuesday, January 21, 2014, at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Williams-Blue Ridge Funeral Home with the Rev. TJ Salango officiating. Following the service Sandi will be laid to rest in Hot Coal Cemetery, Sophia.

Friends may gather with the family from noon until service time Tuesday at the funeral home.

Nada Mae Sweeney O'Dell passed away Jan. 18, 2014.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Blue Ridge Funeral Home Beckley. Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 22, at the funeral home.

Sherry Faye Breasler Willis

Sherry Faye Breasler Willis, 58, of Bradley, passed away Friday, January 17, 2014.

Born May 16, 1955, she was the daughter of the late Robert Crawford and Noka Denny.

Sherry enjoyed shopping, cooking and spending time with her grandchildren, children and cats.

She was employed with Beckley Appalachian Hospital for over 20 years. Sherry was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to her parents, Sherry is preceded in death by her granddaughter, Carolina Faith Aiton; Aunt Wynonna “Sally” Martin and Uncle Herbert “Jake” Breasler.

Those left to cherish her memory include sons, Ronnie Aiton, Jr., and wife, Melissa, of Rock Hill, SC, Danny Scott Terry of Bradley; daughter, Angela Dawn Lavender of Bradley; grandchildren, Jessica Nichole Denny, Journey Faye Wallace, Dakota Terry, Makayla Aiton, Sydney Lavender, Arizona Jade Milam, Elijah Amon, Michael Denny, Brian Denny, Ashley Denny; sisters, Jane Ann “Sue” and husband, Rocky Cresce, and Dianne Denny; brother, Robert “Tator” Denny; nieces, Laura Powers, Roxanne Cresce and Natalie Cresce.

A memorial service for Sherry will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, January 21, 2014, at Blue Ridge Funeral Home, Beckley, with Pastor Ronnie Aiton, Sr., officiating.

Friends may gather with the family Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
