ALDERSON — Carl Herbert Cutlip, 80, of Alderson, passed away Monday, June 2, 2014.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 7, at the Lobban Funeral Home Chapel, Alderson, with Pastor Jonathan Hunt officiating. Burial will follow at the Mt. Zion Cemetery, Alderson. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, June 6, at the funeral home.

John C. Davis Sr.
On Sunday, June 1st, 2014, John C. Davis Sr., of Crab Orchard, passed away at the Raleigh General Hospital. He was 66 years of age.
Born November 6th, 1947, in Charleston, he was the son of the late Jess Chester and Eva Campbell Davis.
Mr. Davis was preceded in death by his brothers and sister, William (Billy) Davis, Carl Davis, Donald Davis, Jesse Davis and Donna Jean Davis.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 38 years, Mary Margaret Davis; his son, John C. Davis Jr., of North Carolina, son, Ray Fleenor and his wife, Tammie, of Midway, daughter, Kimberly Taylor and her husband, Jonathan, of Maple Fork Road; five grandchildren, Zackary Davis, Tiffini Fleenor, Reanna Taylor, Andrew Taylor and Cody Fleenor; brothers, David Davis and his wife, Vera, of Michigan, Charlie Davis of Harper Heights, Rusty Davis of Piney View; sisters, Patricia Snuffer and her husband, Tom, of Fairdale, Joan Pavelica and her husband, Nick, of Parkersburg, and Virginia Shelton of Oak Hill; many loved nieces, nephews and special friends.
Services will be held at Little Beaver State Park on Saturday, June 7th, 2004.

Jerry G. Dickens
Jerry G. Dickens of Rock Creek passed away Tuesday, June 3, 2014, at his home.
He was born August 1, 1950, in West Virginia, a son of the late Clinton and Frances Gillispie Dickens.
Jerry worked with Thomasville Furniture Company in North Carolina with 27 years of service.
In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by a sister, Thelma Dickens, and a brother, Clifford Dickens; nieces, Kimberly and Frances K. Dickens.
Survivors include a sister, Betsy Loudermilk and husband, Robert, of Rock Creek, W.Va.; brothers, Charles Dickens and wife, Sandra Kay, of Eunice, W.Va., James R. Dickens and wife, Kay, of Naoma, W.Va., David D. Dickens and wife, Judy, of Jumping Branch, W.Va., Thomas H. Dickens and wife, Dena, of Thomasville, N.C.; several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
Service will be 2 p.m. Sunday, June 8, 2014, at Armstrong Funeral Home, Whitesville, with Clergy Rev. Don McCloud and Pastor Benny Turner officiating. Singers Don and Joy McCloud.
Interment will be in Pineview Cemetery, Orgas.
Friends may call two hours prior to the service Sunday at the funeral home.
