Lorene B. Ferguson Ganoe
BOZOO — Lorene B. Ferguson Ganoe, 89, of Bozoo, passed away Sunday, May 11, 2014, at the Springfield Center, Lindside, W.Va.
Born May 24, 1924, at Airpoint, Va., she was the daughter of the late Charles Campbell “Cam” and Louella Waldron Ballard.
Mrs. Ganoe was a member of the Bozoo Christian Church and was a homemaker.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Thomas “Tom” Ferguson, second husband, James Opie Ganoe, brothers, Henry Ike “Bunt” Ballard, Campbell Stratton “Strat” Ballard, John Cole Ballard, Patrick Ballard, sisters, Anna Lea Mann, Nellie Long, Lilly Bell “Peg” Page and Hazel Heath.
Survivors include a sister, Lucy Mae Smith of Alderson, brother-in-law, “Les” Heath of Fairborn, Ohio, many nieces, nephews, friends and a stepson, Ronald Ganoe.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, May 15, 2014, at the Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home Chapel, Peterstown, with Pastor Steve Howdock officiating. Burial will follow in the Orchard Cemetery, Ballard.
Visitation will be 12:30 p.m. until time of the services at the funeral home.

Minnie D. ‘Dottie’ Shadd-Gonzales
TOLEDO, Ohio — Minnie D. “Dottie” Shadd-Gonzales, 68, of Toledo, passed away Sunday, May 11, 2014, with family by her side.
Known to all as Dottie, she always had a smile and a joke to tell and was loved by all.
Born in Crab Orchard, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Myrtle Hawkins.
She was preceded in death by ten brothers and sisters and her son, Jason R. Shadd.
Dottie is survived by her loving husband, Juan A. Gonzales; sons, Daniel L. Shadd and Jeremy M. (wife Korri) Shadd; four grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, R. Leslie Hawkins; sisters, Delores J. Brown, Barbara L. Wiseman and Eloise A. Moore; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 12 noon Wednesday, May 14, 2014, at Heritage Baptist Church, 5433 Lewis Avenue, Toledo, Ohio.
Memorial contributions may be made to Southern Care Hospice, American Diabetes Association or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
