GALLIPOLIS, Ohio — Ruby Fern Hendricks, 87, of Gallipolis, Ohio, formerly of Whitesville, died Friday, Jan. 25, 2013.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 30, in the Sylvester Baptist Church, Sylvester, with Pastor David Minturn. Interment will be in Pineview Cemetery, Orgas. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the church.

TSgt. USAF Ret. Ralph Jack Mosley
TSgt. USAF Ret. Ralph Jack Mosley, 76, of Holly Hills, Fairdale, WV, and Buckeye, AZ, died Sunday, Jan 20, 2013, slipping peacefully away at 5:20 p.m. in the arms of his wife Margaret while a patient at the VA Medical Center, Beckley, WV.
He was born to John and Violet Stewart Mosley on Nov. 15,1936, at Ravencliff, WV, and was raised there. Many a trip he made to Glen Rogers, McGraws, Pine Grove Hollow, or just running the mountains of WV.
Jack attended Glen Rogers High School and received his Associate’s in Business from Polk County Community College in central FL. A disabled veteran, he traveled the world for the federal government, proudly serving his country for 44 years. He retired after 24 years in the Air Force plus 20 years of civil service at Robins AFB, Ga. He had many stories to tell about those years and liked to say he was a true lifer, a U.S. Government Issue (GI). He was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 11307, Bolt, WV, a lifetime member of DAV, and a member of the American Legion. Jack loved life, being happy, the Air Force, the WV mountains, his family and baseball.
In addition to his parents John and Violet he was preceded in death by his first wife Gwen Henry, 2 brothers Ted and Bill, 1 sister Lucille Hall Mosley and 1 sister-in-law Barbara.
Left to mourn their loss are his wife Margaret of Holly Hills, Fairdale, WV, and Buckeye, Ariz.; 8 children including 5 sons: Curtis (Tammy) of Athens, Ga., Doug (Debra) of Martinsville, Va., Robert (Kathy) Watson of Phoenix, Ariz., Thomas (Sherry) of Wittmann, Ariz., and SSgt. Sam (SSgt. Kathryn) Miller of Fayetteville, Ft. Bragg, N.C.; 3 daughters Anita MacKowski and Tammy (A.P.) Garcia of Warner Robins, Ga., and Pam (Tim) Underhill of Byron, Ga.; 2 Brothers Roy (Marilyn) of Glen Rogers, WV, Jerry (Barbara) of Bassett, Va.; 2 sisters, Dixie (Tony) Ferber of Clifton Springs, N.Y., Alice (Francis) Knute of Newark, N.Y.; 2 sisters-in-law Mary of Newark, N.Y., and Shirley (Estil) Bailey of Holly Hills, Fairdale, WV, 21 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren with 32, 33 and 34 on the way, lots of cousins, a host of special friends and neighbors especially Rodney Brendle.
Jack will be remembered in the Melton Mortuary Chapel, 1200 Harper Road, Beckley, WV, at 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 28, 2013, with military honors. A celebration of his life follows, officiated by the Reverends DeWayne Hurd and Harry Lafferty. Come visit with the family at 12 noon until time of service.
