Sharon Diana Albaugh

Sharon Diana Albaugh, age 69, of Shady Spring, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, August 5, 2013, at the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville, Va.

Sharon was born on July 11, 1944, at Gallipolis, Ohio. She was the daughter of the late Everett and Pauline Burris.

Sharon grew up in a small Ohio River town called Point Pleasant, W.Va. Sharon graduated with honors from Point Pleasant High School in 1962.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Shady Spring. Sharon was a faithful witness for her Lord and Savior. She was involved as a youth leader in a program called “Jet Cadets for Jesus”. Sharon’s favorite bible verse was Proverb’s 3: 5-6, “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths.”

Sharon was a devoted and loving mother and wife. Sharon and her husband Harry have been married for 50 years. They were high school sweethearts. She loved her family so much. Everyone who came to know Sharon, loved her. She loved being outdoors and working in her flower gardens. Sharon loved to travel too. She particularly loved to walk on the beach. She also loved to listen to music as she worked around the house. In her high school years, she listened to a local radio program called “Sunset Boulevard” waiting to hear a dedication from Harry.
