Stefanie Denise ‘Big Red’ Amick
NETTIE — Stefanie Denise “Big Red” Amick, 46, of Nettie, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2013, at Ruby Memorial Hospital, following a short illness.
Born Feb. 28, 1967, in Summersville, she was the daughter of the late Eria Paulett Stoneburner and her adoptive father, Robert Adams of McRoss. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by a sister, Joanna Bennett; two uncles, Glen and Griffin Stoneburner; and grandparents, Paul and Rebecca Stoneburner.
Survivors include her spouse, Mark Dewayne Amick of Nettie; daughter, Mackenzie Breanna Hardwick of Nettie; her three-year-old K9 son, Buckshot Amick; two aunts, Claudett (John) O’Dell of Leivasy and Kim (Bonnie) O’Quinn of Princeton; nephew, Neil Adam Pence, and niece, Keely Nicole Bennett.
Memorial services will be at 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, 2013, at the Peniel United Methodist Church at Hominy Falls, W.Va., with Pastor Harold Dusky officiating.

GLEN ROGERS — Joey Wayne Bailey, 53, of Glen Rogers, passed away Monday, September 9, 2013, at Raleigh General Hospital from injuries sustained in an auto accident.
Born July 20, 1960 at Beckley, he was the son of the late Nelson Bailey and Quinnie Cozart Bailey of Glen Rogers.
Joey enjoyed fishing, reading, gardening, being outdoors and spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his mother, Quinnie Bailey of Glen Rogers; two daughters, Melanie Nelson and her husband, Christopher, of Pineville and Sarah Bailey and her companion, Michael McCoy, of Mullens; a brother, Radie Bailey of Beckley; six sisters, Nancy Snuffer of Glen Rogers, Julie Goode of Beckley, Helen Reavis of Eatonton, Ga., Margaret Lester of Beckley, Betty Richardson of Glen Rogers and Joann Ellis of Soak Creek; nine grandchildren, Chad, Megan, Triston, Husten, Jacob, Abby, Alexus, Allison and Andrew.
A celebration of Joey’s life will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, September 13, 2013, in the Calfee Funeral Service Chapel, Pineville.
