Frank Eugene Adams

BRENTON — Frank Eugene Adams, 79, of Brenton, passed away Wednesday, August 28, 2013, at Beckley Appalachian Regional Hospital following a short illness.

Born February 11, 1934, in Wyoming County, he was the son of the late Enoch Adams and Amanda Walker Adams.

Frank was a member of the Indian Creek Community Church. He enjoyed going to church, hunting, fishing, being with his grandchildren and spending time with family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Bonnie Trent Adams; a great-grandson, Jadon Brown; two brothers, Willard Adams and Ora Lee Adams; two sisters, Ruby Lester and Louise Lester; and son-in-law, Junior Smith.

Survivors include two sons, Jeff Adams and his fiancée Rhonda Moore of Summersville and Joey Adams and his wife, Dawn, of Pineville; a daughter, Diana Hart and her husband, Jackie, of Coal City; two sisters, Ella Shields of Pineville and Mary Helen Criner of Odd.

He is also survived by seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

A celebration of Frank’s life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, August 31, 2013, in the Calfee Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor Scott Cline and Pastor Bill Rose officiating.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Palm Memorial Gardens, Matheny.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

 Military graveside rites will be conducted by the Wyoming County Honor Guard.

Danny Alfred Ashmore II

FAYETTEVILLE — Danny Alfred Ashmore II, 23, of Fayetteville, died Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2013.

Graveside rites and committal services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 31, at Huse Memorial Park in Fayetteville with Pastor Justin Seay officiating. Burial will follow. There will be no visitation.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the funeral home to assist the family with expenses.
