William R. Hundley

 OAK HILL — William R. Hundley, 75, of Oak Hill, passed away Saturday, September 29, 2012.

A memorial service will be held 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, October 6, 2012, at the Nicholas County Senior Center, 151 Sids Way, Summersville.

Arrangements by Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home, Ansted.

 



Bonnie Jean Knicely

CRAIGSVILLE — Bonnie Jean Knicely, 84, of Craigsville, passed away Monday, October 1, 2012.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. on Friday, October 5, 2012, in the Saint Luke’s United Methodist Church at Craigsville with Pastor Charlie Stevens officiating. Interment will follow in the WV Memorial Gardens at Calvin.

Friends may call 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday at the St. Luke’s United Methodist Church.

Reba Veda Puckett Mitchell

RAINELLE — Reba Veda Puckett Mitchell, 94, of Rainelle, passed away Monday, Oct. 1, 2012, at her home, following a long illness.

Born Dec. 16, 1917, at Vale, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late James E. and Junie B. Puckett.

Reba was a member of the First Baptist Church of Rainelle, and a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Everette Franklin Mitchell, in 1997.

Those left to cherish her memories are a daughter, Nancy Cunningham (David) of Rainelle; two grandchildren, David Cunningham Jr. (Jackie) of Smoot, W.Va., Tammy Robinson (James) of Crawley, W.Va.; and one great-grandchild, Sydney Robinson of Crawley, W.Va.

Services will be 3 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 4, 2012, at Wallace & Wallace Chapel in Rainelle, with the Rev. Keith Shumaker officiating. Burial will follow in Wallace Memorial Cemetery, Clintonville.

Friends may call hone hour prior (2 to 3 p.m.) to the service at the funeral home in Rainelle.

Carolyn June Osborne

CYCLONE — Carolyn June Osborne,  63, departed this life Saturday, September 29, 2012, at her home surrounded by her loving family following a courageous battle with cancer.

Born October 12, 1948, in Cyclone,  she was the daughter of the late George and Brookie Toler.

Carolyn was a 1965 graduate of Oceana High School, retired outreach worker with Council on Aging, a member of the Eastern Star and a Baptist. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and a friend to everyone never turning anyone away.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Danny D. Osborne on August 11, 2012; a daughter, Angie Osborne; grandson, Lane Perry; two brothers, Edwin Gene Toler and Robert Gene Toler; a sister, Rosa Racine Toler; three nephews, Waylon Sizemore, Richard Osborne and Bucky Walls; two sister-in-laws, Diane Parton and  Bonnie Walls; four brother-in-laws, Guy Parton, Sebert Lusk, Danny Walls and Rommie Osborne.

Those left to cherish her memory are a daughter, Rhonda Meade and husband, Andrew of Cyclone; two sons, Danny Osborne Jr., and wife, Tonya of Oceana and Timothy Osborne of Cyclone; three brothers, Arvis Toler of Tenn., Jimmy Toler and wife, Gladys of Cyclone and Tom Toler and wife, Ellen of Cyclone; two sisters, Freda Walls and husband, Richard of Pa., and Mildred Sizemore and husband, Pete of Cyclone; six grandchildren, Timothy “Tim Tim” Osborne III, Danny “Trey” Osborne III, Ashley Hunt and husband, Joe, Brandon Messer Osborne, Cody Miller and Samatha Miller; great-grandchild, James Brown III; brother-in-law, Keith Osborne and wife, Shelia of Cyclone; two sister-in-laws, Sharon Osborne and Drema Lusk, both of Cyclone; several nieces and nephews and a host of family and friends.

A celebration of Carolyn’s life will be 2  p.m. Wednesday, October 3, 2012, at Adam Toler Memorial Chapel, with the Rev. Roland Cook officiating. Burial will follow in Cook Cemetery, Cyclone.

The family will received friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, October 2, 2012, at the funeral home.

The family would like to say “Thank you", to Hospice of Southern West Virginia for the wonderful care they gave their mother.

In lieu of flowers donation of sympathy may be made to the Cyclone Fire Department.
