Robert G. ‘Chip’ Hanna

RENICK — Robert G. “Chip” Hanna, 67, of Renick passed away Wednesday, September 26, 2012, at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center in Fairlea.

Chip was born in Ronceverte on January 21, 1945, to Alice McClung Hanna and the late Geuel Hanna.

Chip was a retired X-ray Technician from the Greenbrier Clinic in White Sulphur Springs. He was a Vietnam Air Force Veteran, a member of the Renick Volunteer Fire Department for many years and a member of the Spring Creek Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include his wife, Rebecca Rupert Hanna of Renick; daughter, Alice Ann Hanna of Lewisburg; mother, Alice McClung Hanna of Renick; brother-in-law, Roger (Brenda) Rupert of Frankford; niece, Ronda Moncada of Scott Depot; nephew, Rusty Rupert of Roanoke, VA.

Service will be 2 p.m. on Sunday, September 30, 2012, at the Spring Creek Presbyterian Church with Pastor Lynn Randolph officiating. Burial will follow at the Morningside Cemetery.

Friends may call one hour prior to service.

Aileen Ruth McGraw ‘Mama’ Janney

OAK HILL — Aileen Ruth McGraw “Mama” Janney, 92, of Oak Hill, WV, formerly of Pax, WV, died on Wednesday, September 26, 2012, at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley, WV.

Born May 26, 1920, at Long Branch, WV, she was the daughter of the late Henry “Chick” and Virginia Burgess McGraw.

Aileen was a member of Winolia Chapter No. 59 OES and the Long Branch United Methodist Church. She was a homemaker.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the staff at Summit Assisted Living in Oak Hill and the staff at Bowers Hospice House. A special thanks to friends Ruth Ann Wingrove, Luann Thornquest and Buddy and Joann Lively.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Seibert Janney, her children, Seibert Wayne Janney and Bernadine Janney Smith, and siblings, Lorena Akers, Rupert McGraw, Helen Lively and Bernard McGraw, and a nephew, Dwight Akers.

Survivors include her granddaughter, Sally Kay Blackburn and husband, Jeffrey, and great-grandsons, Matthew and Eric Blackburn all of Hurricane. She will be affectionately remembered by a host of family and friends.

Funeral services will be on Sunday, September 30, 2012, at 2 p.m. at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill with Rev. Mervin Sizemore officiating. Burial will be at High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Sunday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to Bowers Hospice House, 454 Cranberry Drive, Beckley, WV 25801.
