WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS — Earl Waitman Casto, 92, of White Sulphur Springs, passed away on Friday morning, September 21, 2012, at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center.
Born on May 17, 1920, in White Sulphur Springs, he was a son of the late Ira and Amy Remley Casto.

Earl was very devoted with his volunteering and his work with both the Fire Department and Rescue Squad. He was a good neighbor and a friend to all who knew him. His hobby was fishing and hunting. Earl was a great fisherman, oftentimes catching fish when nobody else had any luck.

Survivors include his wife at home, Roxie Smith Casto, three daughters: Janice Deitz of Toledo, Ohio, Patty (Bugsy) Hobbs of White Sulphur Springs, and Becky (Greg) Walter of Roanoke, Va., and a sister: Lou Clements of White Sulphur Springs, and six grandchildren.
His memorial service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, September 25, 2012, at the Emmanuel United Methodist Church, with Rev. Ken Peters officiating. A visitation and luncheon will follow at the church.
Expressions of sympathy may me made to the Emmanuel United Methodist Church and the White Sulphur Springs Rescue Squad.
